I am back in Patts in June and decided to return to Soi 8. Last time I was in Patts I stayed at the Lek but enjoy the buzz of the Soi 8 area and I always seem to end back there when it has got a bit quiet--3am or so!

My question is what is the best place in the board members opinion in sois 7 or 8. I have stayed at the Sunbeam but want a better pool. My leaning at the moment is Eastiny and then Flipper Lodge. What thoughts?

Thanks

My recommendation would be the Bella Vista, which is situated on the small soi that connects Soi 7 with Soi 8. It is owned by the Eastiny group and is only a couple of years old, and is clean and fairly quiet for that area, with reasonable rates.

Oops, forgot about the pool part...they don't have one.... :banghead

teelack,

I moved from Soi 8 to Soi 13 for the opposite reason, to get away from all the 'buzz.

I have spent several trips staying at the Eastiny Inn on Soi 8. I would recommend it. Good price, nice rooms and good staff as well as the restaurant available on site. They also have a nice pool. I will give their Eastiny Resdency a try for a few days on Soi 10 durning my trip in April.

I believe there is now a Eastiny on Soi 7. A few weeks ago they had a sign that said they were now open. They looked as if there had internet services also. I want to, but a didn't get a chance to take a look around. Has anyone one checked the place out yet?

Hi,

Most of the hotels mentioned seem to be popular with boardies. The only one I have stayed in is Flipper Lodge, like pool on the roof.

I stayed at the Dynasty Inn on Soi 13 last year and enjoyed my stay there. 1luv It wasn't noisy on my trip and like TexLeo says it much more quieter. :grin-jump This coming trip I'm going try stay at the Sunshine hotel and see what it's like.
