Is there a good bookshop in Pattaya? I plan to be there a while, and I'd rather not weigh my suitcase down unnecessarily taking reading matter from home.

There are book shops in Big C and Royal Garden Plaza. I always find they have good selection.

Are you referring to the cleanliness of the paper and cover or the written content when you say filthy?

There's a secondhand bookshop too. That's good to know, however filthy it is.

Good selection in Jeremy's books situated in Soi Chiyapoon (Next to Crazy Dave's). Soi Chiyapoon is off Soi Buakow. He will allow you 50% back on the book when returned against another book. Inside everything is organised by author and there is a selection of non-fiction.

Another bookshop is in the shopping arcade near the Dolphin Roundabout on second road. They sell both new and second hand paperbacks.

Quite a few hotels have a selection of books left by previous guests.

Nothing like reading a good book during the day anticipating the nights activities !.
