Up to You :drunk :D

Myself I think it is money well spent, but that is the London Lounge at LHR, can even have a shower and get rid of the clinkers before the long flight, plus they have cold Singhas as well.

Go for it.

as said before depends how much you drink! seriously though i paid about £17.50 for the servisair lounge in heathrow, in march, decent seats free drinks, snacks (crisps etc)newspapers etc. last year wnt into the london lounge twice , cracking in there! showers etc! dont know how much it costs to go in there though! although in november last year i used 5.000 miles from evas frequent flier club, to get me access to the london lounge. so all in all i reckon its money well spent! (especially if youre going economy!-at least you get a bit of comfort before you fly!)

Poskat - yes providing you are flying with EVA. In London & BKK ( and maybe TPE too ) you need an invitation which they should give you when you check in, if not ask for one.

I've a TG gold card and can sit in the first class lounge in Copenhagen regardless of what ticket I've as long I travel with a Star Alliance member. In BKK I've access to the biz lounges.

A friend of mine worked some years in London got a Diners card and had free lounges in both Copenhagen and LHR.

It makes a difference. You can read a paper, get a bite to eat and have a drink or two. Lounges tend to be quiet places, with zero hustle and bustle. I've put notes in my travel book, etc. Your drink does not have to be an alcoholic beverage; coffee, water and soft drinks are available, too. Food tends to include small sandwiches and fresh fruit. This makes your overall trip experience much better. The longer the layover or the more time you have to kill, the bigger the effect.

Somewhere on this board or Thai visa someone kindly left the info that if you are an Egg C.C. holder you can get a substantial cashback on using selected lounges. Seemed very worthwhile. Do a search.

Be advised that there's always a time limit if youpay the £18 or so.

I think it's either 2.5 hours or 3 hours max. So don't think if you flight is not until 9.30pm you can turn up at 5 and chill out/get pissed up too much.

QUOTE (soi unwise @ May 19 2006, 09:02 PM)

What these greedy bastards fail to understand is the whole point of spending our hard earned wages in Pattaya is to have sex with a bar girl.

thats disgusting!!

But you can request to be allowed in earlier,it's at the discression of the receptionist on duty.

I guess a little charm would quite easily get you an extra hour.
