What sort of place are you looking for

Condo, hotel, apartment or guesthouse ?

Several guesthouses in the Soi LK Metro area that are good value for around 10k+ a month, no pool though

Plenty of people can help you but a few details would help. Like do you want to be near the action or away from it. Just a basic hotel room or a bit more. Plenty of hotels offer a monthy rate during low season in your range.

A studio at Nova Park is about that but not including electric, water and cleaning, 25k inclusive

Nova Park

I liked the nearby Inside Garden at 18k, at 4/22 Moo 6 Pattaya 3rd rd

You can easily live over a small bar for this in Soi Bukao or Soi Post Office for about that. Book someplace like the Lek Hotel for 2 nights and go walkabout when you arrive to find a place you like.

Check out the Holiday Mansion. It's located on a soi just south of Centeral Pattaya Rd between Soi Buakaow and 3rd Rd. When I stayed there Nov-Dec 2004 the cost of the large rooms were 12K, the other rooms were costing 9k and 10K with the only difference between the two were that the 10K rooms faced the pool. Water and electric were extra and you only had house cleaning free once a week. My water/electric cost just under 1k for the month and I had a TGF keep the place clean in between housekeeping. You can pay for additional days of housekeeping. My room was very spacious and they had a very nice pool area and the pool was large enough if your into swimming laps.

Go up Central road to Carre 4 shopping center. In back of it, about 1/4 mile is a real nice condomium complex. o Nantana Garden Hotel. My friend stayed there, and I checked it out too. 10,000 baht one month for furnished 1 BR place. Nice swimming pool, easy baht bus ride to Carre 4 and then easy walk, or you can rent a motor scooter like my friend did. Clerks were really nice.

The Soi Beukao (sp?) area has gotten a lot of press lately in terms of decent places to stay on the cheap.

I do hope you are not taking the Michael for my temporary mental block and miserable attempt at spelling? :clap1 :clap1

Let me redeem myself, Bua khao.....or white lotus..... :clap1 :clap1

I am taking the ex to pattaya in december for the major dental work so I had alook at the places opposite the hosptial down near the big C.

I found a good looking place that is 15000 baht a month in december.

It was towards the beach from bella villa cabana.

Looking to save a little bht this dec/jan the Metro looks good, but I see 19,500 not 12,000. I have been staying at Sandy Spring and find it a good place, but I kinda want to get away from the memories of last dec/jan lady. I do like the location, easy walking distance even to soi 8, although I keep finding myself on Walking Street.
