How much help are the tourist police?

Recommended Posts

The meeting went off with pretty much no conflict. I did get into an argument with the police a little bit before the other guy arrived, but that was pretty much it.

He has agreed to pay the full amount for the house and land. He assured me that he is just angry because the younger sister left him and he still oves her. He claims he did it for love..... :clueless DUMB FUCKER!

Only time will tell if this is really over, or just another lull in the action?

Can you please let me know when you get the money. We can meet at the Starbuck's next to Mcdonalds and talk about your investment options.

Glad things worked out for you and the family.

That's some funny shit there man. The money will be immediately put down for the purchase of 10 rai of land with apartment complexes and one factory building to be used as a recycling business.

Good try though old chap :clap1

Good.......

Guess I won't be seeing you on Pattaya City News being led off in handcuffs (inside a plastic bag... :clap1 ) for the murder of a Thai national then.

Sounds like the type who cannot accept 'not getting his own way'......I hope it all ends here.

Police argued with me a little about why I brought my gun along with me. I told them in case they didn't do their job as usual. That seemed to rub them the wrong way for some reason? :D

Wait you brought your own weapon to the police station, how, I thought that only a Thai could own a weapon, what did you say you were holding it for your wife? Man if this can be done legally I would love to know.

The laws are only enforced in Thailand when the Thai's want to enforce them. About 4 years ago, on New Years Eve night, I got pretty loaded and drove my car into a ditch. Police came, called a wrecker, pulled the car out, picked me up off the ground as I was so drunk I couldn't walk, put me in my car, started it for me, and said "have a safe drive home".

The laws are more "guidlines" than actual laws. :finger

P.S. The fucking guy called last night. Bank wont give him the money for the house. He is pissed off again. This thing might get worse in a hurry? 2guns

Big Chief,

I've seen this same thing happen on a Thai soap opera.

You need to get a Thai witch-doctor involved, screw the police, this guy is not going to leave your family alone. Hex the fucker.

I said it before and I'll say it again - Money Talks! Pay him off. I think that may be the only effective way to sort this out without someone winding up in a bad way. <grin

Tourist Police? :cry1 :cry1 Useless as tits on a bull. Had 6 baht of gold stolen from my room at The Monaco condo in Pattaya in 2000. Went to the Tourist Police. Told me they could do nothing. Too lazy to get off their asses. They told me I had to go to the Pattaya Police Station on Beach Road and Soi 9 to file a report. Had the same treatment there until I got on the mobile and called a favourite TG. She hustled down there with 2 of her friends in tow. A-FUCKING-MAZING turnaround in the police attitude as they were staring at the girls with the short skirts and lowcut tops. The police fell all over themselves taking my report then. Funniest thing, although not at the time, was the Captain and two of his men ran out to their truck with the girls and drove off to the condo leaving me in the parking lot. I got a motorbike taxi and told him to follow the police truck. Look on his face was priceless. Got to the condo just after the police. They actually did a decent job of "investigating." Questioned staff at the condo, took fingerprints. Interviewed a "suspect" girl from SuperBaby. No arrests or convictions that I am aware of.

Big Chief,

Hope your problem gets worked out with no loss of life and/or money.

Thanks mate. I am sure there will be more drama in the days to come. I am not giving that fucker any money, nor am I giving him my house and land. It will be a pretty good standoff to see who has the bigger sack. When it comes down to face to face confrontation with me, the prat backs down. He is one of those guys that likes to intimidate women I think. He puts another hand on my wife and he wont be able to strike another person for a long time. :cry1

I love a good wind up, and it seems as the Brits are the easiest to wind up. Maybe because they still resent us for whipping their ass and taking control of our own country?

Personally I find septics are very easy to wind up, especially when you mention the fact that they lost more battles than they won in their war of independence and it was the French involvement in the war that was decisive.

The French are not too popular amongst the septics these days so it must really stick in their throats knowing that they owe their existence as an independent nation to the 'cheese eating surrender monkeys' :D

Well, Saturday was the second time a certain "fallen" mafia dude in Chonburi decided to come to my wife's families business and try to kill them. As in the first time, he was armed with a pistol. And as in the first time, my wife and two daughters were present also. Luckily, the children were next door at their cousins house playing.

But, also as in the first case, my wife was involved in the scuffle and was nearly killed. Her hands are swelled and her back is sore from attacking the guy. The wife, her sister, and her mother jumped on him getting the gun pointed away from anyone. The father then got the gun away from the guy. But not before a long struggle and many small injuries.

The Thai police came and just told him to be nice to us and to not come back again. This is exactly what the sad fucks told him the last time he came to try to kill them.

My fear is that my wife and children are going to be caught in the mix and killed. If this happens, you can all visit me in the pokey as I will kill that mother fucker with my bare hands. I got drunk Saturday and it took many people to keep me from going and killing him. Stupid ass me, the next day I realized I only have one bullet for my gun left.

My question is, do you think contacting the tourist police or the US Embassy would hel my situation any? This is definitely going to end in someone being shot to death and I do not want it to be my wife or children.

Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

Land of Smiles, huh?

Land of Smiles, huh?

you better believe it

it's not all fun and games

people don't realize that there's plenty of real life drama in LOS, and not a 24/7 party like some of the tourists in Pattaya would prefer to believe

Two suggestions:

1) At no time have alcohol involved when dealing with this problem.

2) Put the house and land up for sale at your fair asking price that will get offers, accept one of those offers as soon as possible, close the deal and walk away. Far away.

Well, we have been informed by one of this guys kids, that he is now carrying his gun with him at all times. The sister inlaw will be shot on site. We are arranging her a visa to the USA, and until it is finished she is staying in another city. We are going to look for places to move. No way am I going to wonder all night whether he is coming to kill us or not.

We will let the house sit empty. We will be arranging a gaurd to sit at the gate all day everyday to make sure no one tries to move in and become a squatter. Too bad that it has to be this way. I will never sell the fucker now. His price just went up to 10 million baht. FUCKER!

At best, we can find some place closer to my office so it doesn't take so long to get to work.

1) Deserves respect.

2) Deserves to be shot.

This prick definitely belongs in category 2.

He will get what's coming to him sooner or later Chief.

Good Luck sir!

We were informed from his son that he has been diagnosed with stomache cancer, and the doctor literally told him that if he lives another 5 years it will be a miracle. I guess we will wait out his death. Sounds bad but, I hope the fucker drops dead tomorrow. :D

I too offer my sympathies for a crappy situation. At the same time I strongly urge you to be very careful before you try to take things into your own hands.

Although it wasn't necessary, Warren Fellows book certainly convinced me that walking away has to be the best option compared to spending any time locked up in a jail in SEA.

You would not be of much use to your family while locked away.

LOS is not that while incarcerated in Thailand.

I sincerely wish you a successful solution to this horrible picture you describe.

I'm with Owen, sell the property to some one else.

Is there a market for your property?

If you are willing to sell the property then sell it to any one BUT him.

If he's so focused on the property (since he used to own it) then maybe he can start stalking the new owners.

Sell it and find a new property and location you like even better.
