Two-Room Suite Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

Hey, All -

Heading over to LOS in March / April, and it looks as though I've talked a comrade into making the trip (his first - ha!). We're kicking back and forth between each getting a room or having a two-bedroom suite with a common living area. Just wondered if anyone had two-room suite recommendations they could pass along. Something reasonably located would be great and price is a secondary considerayion; although, there's no interest in throwing stupid money around at the Marriott, Hard Rock, etc.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. 108 days...

The LK Metropole suite in soi Diana Inn, 2 bedroom in 250 sqm2, with a outdoor jacuzzi in a large garden is certainly the best deal in town and maybe in the world, about 10'000 bahts/night.

You can obtain a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, two living rooms, kitchen and a balcony with seaview, on the beach road for around 4.5k baht, if you know where to look.

Rather better value than some hotel on a back street for 10k. Even worse, the rate is shown as 15,000 baht on their website.

Though to be fair, there is no pool or jacuzzi at my place.

Residence Garden. Two bedrooms each of which has en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms separated by a living /kitchen area, so each occupant has some privacy. I stayed there for 20 nights in Oct / Nov and if you ask for the FLB rate, it'll cost you 2700 baht a night.

Couldn't fault the place. Good service and the laundry always came back even though I never filled in a ticket.

It's right on the baht bus route so a journey into town which takes 2-3 minutes to get to Soi 16 costs you 10 baht.

Coming home in the small hours, a private hire could be had for 100 baht. Not bad for 4 people, especially when totally hammered.

Girl friendly.

Good Luck

Very interesting post. I have stayed at the RG a couple of times but was not aware that it was possible to get a suite with two separate bedrooms. Thanks very much for this information.

Thanks all for the great suggestions and input. It's good to see there's such a variety of choices for something with two bedrooms. I've gotten a reply from the Pinewood Residences on 2nd Road for 2,400bt (plus taxes), so that's one I've thrown into the mix as well. It will be the first time I've made the trip with a friend from this side of the world (as opposed to making new friends amongst members and others once there), and it's shaping up to be a good holiday all around.

Any other two-bedroom suggestions are still very welcomed.

Interesting. Has anyone stayed at the Pinewood Residences? If so, I would be interested in your take of the place. In particular, is it guest friendly?

Thanks

I believe MM used to live there. I don't think he's reside anywhere that wasn't guest friendly.
