I can recommend Eric's condos at the Jomtien Beach Condominium complex. I have been renting from him for nearly a year. Eric is a cool guy and easy to get along with.

I like the place because it is quiet at night with very good security people at the front gate and at the entrance of every building.

The studio I am renting from Eric had an existing telephone connection and some of his friends helped me to get an ADSL connection working in less than a week.

The best feature, in my opinion, are the two large swimming pools. There are better condominiums to be found in Jomtien and Pattaya, if you are prepared to pay a lot more money. 8500 THB for a well-maintained studio at the Jomtien Beach Condominium complex is very good value.

Eric, you seem to have a few condos for rent in Jomtien Beach? how big are the condos? will be looking for something bigger than my small studio when I come back in mid may so its a bit early for me.

I would offer you around 20 to 25000 baht cash non refundable in advance with say 25000 cash bond for 1/4 to 25/4 if you are looking 4 a short term while finding a long term. Subject to inspection on sometime between 26/3 to 1/4 where you can also suss me out. Weekly inspections with immediate termination by you with a pro rata refund is not a problem if you dont like what you see.

I've stayed both at View Talay and Jomtien Beach Condo 2 years ago. They are similar but at Jomtien Beach Condo you don't have to walk as far to get to the beach. As a previous poster said, it is very quiet and secure. I've bought a house since and with hindsight I wished I would have stayed in the condo.

maybe I am missing something...how long do you want to rent my condo for...it looks like 3 weeks..

Yes, I am aware you are looking 4 a long term tenant but I thought you may be interested in a 3.5 week tenant while you find a long term one. As you dont know me I thought I better offer a big bond. I dont know what your condo is like but the nicer new viewtally 5s seem to go for about 21000 per month all inclusive short term so assuming it is as good as them then I think my offer is around the going rate. Am I offering too little or too much or are you strictly after a longer term ?

View Talay 5 are brand new .Jomtien Beach Condos are about 8 years old .Most of the studios there are small 28 sq meters .

I own a Condo in JBC.It is a good place ,well managed with good security ,and quiet .The Condo advertised by the OP seems well fitted out ,and with good view is well worth what he is asking for long term .

IMO.

Gentlemen.........

This is not a good way to do business.

Hippie, forget this guy if he isn't even capable of replying to you on an internet forum, lol.

What are you going to do if you get a burst water pipe and you're flooding the ten floors below you?

If it takes Eric the Boss so long to respond, how long will it take one of his workers?

You must be cold and miserable back in England, wishing you were in a position to rent a condo in Thailand. Old fellow, save your money and your wish might come true. :clueless

OK guys.... I contacted Eric when I arrived in Pattaya two weeks ago. He seems like a good guy to me and we got along well. Upshot of this is that I have yesterday completed the rental of his apartment for a one year period. The apartment is very nice and as described, and I can only say that my dealings with him have been very satisfactory. This is a testimony for Eric. He has a number of condos which he rents out long term, and if one becomes available in the future I would recommend him and his properties. Of course, I'm only at the start of my dealings with him but I'm quite happy so far.

I just saw Papillon's comments above, or I would have responded sooner. (The quote function is not working for some reason for me at the moment.) I fully believe Eric when he says he sent me a message to my email, which is what I had asked him to do in my PM. As I stated, I suspect there was a problem with spam filters, or the like. We traded several messages afterward, and when we determined that his place was not quite a match for my current needs, he very helpfully suggested another location that he thought might suit me better. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about him.
