Thinking of staying @ the Sabai Inn on my next trip.

Anyone have recent experience of this hotel ?

Any advice or tips on it or the surrounding bars

and restaurants and I would be grateful..

Thank you.

With only 4 trips under my belt, this is possibly my best pick. Sabaii Inn is not much (IMOP) on amenities, but you sure can't beat the quality or the location. The room is huge and the service impeccable. I never used the AFB so I can't comment on that. I will say the staff is very friendly and the baht busses come right by the door to pick you up on your adventure down beach road. Nice gogo on the soi and a better than average thai 5 steps away. Also, 2nd road is full of great bars that will keep you busy at least a full day.

Yes, Go to Sabaiin Inn. It's a great hotel and a fantastic location.

Stayed there a year ago. Excellent value for money, friendly efficient staff. If you don't want to pay for the frills (gym, pool etc), go for it. Just remember to request a room facing the outside of the building.

:D

Just back, stayed a week at Sabai Inn,having stayed two and three weeks there on previous trips. Excellent off peak rates of 700 for standard room overlooking car park and noisy thai pub, or 850 for superior room on other side overlooking Welkom Inn pool.

Rooms are fine, use of swimming pool across road in Sabai Lodge, would recommend walking to BJ Lodge on Soi 3 for breakfast.Loads of bars on Second Road and Soi 6 is short walk away, also baht buses stop right outside.

:thumbup

Standard American breakfast is 55 baht at BJ,you can add other items from menu,I prefer freshly cooked stuff rather than buffet food left out in the open.

Plenty of non residents eat there as it is good value and restaurant is at front so you do not need to go through hotel.

However, see my other message re imminent construction work next door-breakfast could be noisy!

Nice hotel, good staff. Just ask them for a room with an outward facing window so you get real sunlight, some of the rooms face inward and your view would be the hallway. :thumbup The area around it is great you are close to loads of good bars/restaurants/shops and they also let you use the pool in the Sabai Lodge which is just over the road. You are also on the baht bus route so it will be easy for you to explore Pattaya and get back to your room, they stop outside the front door if you so desire. I even get Christmas cards from them.

With all the other posts I feel bad for saying this but I wasn't impressed with the place. Good price, on the bahtbus route, very large room, but the bed was 2 twin beds tied together and hard as a rock. I moved to a different hotel after 2 nights.

I was'nt impressed either,I had an inside room and was very dark. The place is an echo chamber the banging of doors in the corridors really pissed me off,try the Lek at the top of Soi13.
