I'm planning a vacation in Pattaya in november and was considering having crown and bridge work done while over there.

Can anyone recommend a dental clinic.

Thanks

after losing sleep about going to get my teeth scraped polished and cleaned, i finally plucked up the courage to go, my appointment was for 11.00am and i was 10 minutes early, she had just finished treatment on an American gentleman, a smile and a handshake, followed by a joke or two between them made me feel a little less nervous,

Then she called my name out, i ran straight out of the hospital down soi 4 toward the beach rd like Linford

Christie on speed (only joking). Before the consultation began i explained how ive had a phobia of dentists since before i can remember, and although i once took on 50 Chelsea skinheads single handed, i was still nervous of the treatment, she laughed and said " i not murderer" i nervously laughed back,

Before the treatment began she told me if i wanted to rest or swill out at any time just to raise my arm, after 45 minutes of her caring treatment she was finished ( what was all the fuss ) well i will explain back in England i used to think that the NHS was second to none, i realise now that we are just treated like second class citizens , slabs of meat on a market , in comparison to the Thai health care system, its England whats in the third world of health care, just a simple smile comfort and reassurance can go a long way with a patient.

Goe see Dr Aree on my advice to anyone needing dental treatment to go see her...then to Dr Aree herself ,who takes pride and joy in her profession

Ime not scared of dentists no more laughing Wig !!

There's an excellent German/Thai Dentist on Pattaya Klang (between 2nd/3rd roads) called 'SMILE CLINIC'.!

I can personally recommend it. My GF had a bad absess and seen 3 different dentists in the UK and none could put it right. She was in a lot of pain. Went to 'Smile' joint and they worked their magic. They have 'private' Dentists who come in from the big Hospitals to do extra work.

Hope ths helps me friend....

That all said and done, are there any clinics there that do false teeth? Need some new ones and wondering how long it would take if there are any denture clinics there.

having just been beaten up, lost a tooth and blatently robbed by a dentist in ferndown dorset to the tune of £230.00 pounds i would have no quarms about returning to a dentist in pattaya,i used one for laser treatment cleaning last october ,cost 6000 baht about £90.00 ,it did hurt ,it will by any one because it dries the teeth out for a while and mine took a good hour of repeated "hits" that last for about 5/7 mins a time,3 days after your teeth get their fluids back ,that is a searing unstoppable pain but it does cgo eventually,i used DOCTOR TEETH in central road ,little place, would i do it again, cleaning no but for needed work yes but my teeth are clean now

How much did you pay I was thinking of having mine done as well.

Have to agree with Wig & Pizzle, have used Dr Aree several times now, definately the most caring and professional dentist I have ever been to. A root canal performed privatly here in the UK, costing £400, would have just cost about £80 there, and she checked it and asked why UK dentist had only worked on 2 of the roots. Very professional lady.

Located at Pattaya International Hospital, Soi 4, 2nd rd end. Very close to Big C.

Dr Aree can be contacted by email at picpih@loxinfo.co.th

She even sings to you whilst working. <grin

I also went to Pattay International Hospital on Soi 4 and I used the male dentist as Dr. Aree was all booked up.

EXCELLENT work and very reasonable...I paid about 1/2 what a crown would cost in the US and the work was top notch and the personal attention was superb...better than what we get in the states!

All the best,

Dr Darika is another female dentist at Pattaya International Hospital who also signs while she work on your teeth.

I took your advice guys and booked in with Dr Aree, and have to agree with you, what a breath of fresh air she is. Admittedly i am not too bothered about seeing the dentist or 50 Chelsea skinheads for that matter...lol....but Dr Aree was superb. The funniest bit when she puts the cloth over your eyes to stop and water splash and she says "goodbye" Then a "Hello" when she removes it. I also got the singing during my visit. Prices were very reasonable indeed. Thanks guys

I had a cleaning at The Pattaya Dental Clinic on Soi 16 near the Marine Plaza hotel. It was ok, and reasonably priced. I would go back there if the need arose. They have a website and the tel is 038-421-156 or 038-429-206. They do not take walk ins (at least when I was there), as I saw them reject a few Russian dudes, which promptly pitched a fit as a result.

Cheers,

Strike
