Areca Lodge, Sandy Springs or Rockhouse

Each to his own. Personally, I like to have a seaview if I'm at a seaside resort.

Why is Soi Buakhao a 'fantastic' location? It wasn't too long ago that it was the place of choice for bag snatches.

Now of course, it's the home of many of the working girls. :) I wouldn't call the area "fantastic". But as they say, in matters of taste, there is no argument.

I like it better than staying between Beach Road and Second Road. Part of the reason it's more interesting is because, as you said, Thai people actually live in that area. Because of this there's a bit less touristy crap and a higher concentration of interesting things to eat. There are more things to walk to in a smaller amount of space. There are some great hotels and cheap guest houses. There are lots of great places to eat. It's a bit out of the way yet still super easy to get around.

Personally, I don't care for a seaview of Pattaya beach. It's not like I'm staying in Krabi or anything.

No argument with your description. :) It's a matter of preference.

I would prefer a walk along the beach, rather than Soi Buakhao.

I can always visit Soi Buakhao when I want to see how the other half live.

JJ...You've gotta be the biggest stalkin' fruitcake ginger type on the net...You and that Mozaik gay enterprise that you just cannot help but pump jizz fest out of that mouth of yours...

JJ...Did you see the recent review of that gay haunt you call a 'HOTEL'....Somebody said it was shite and would never go back! Think about that...How many others have said the same about THE ROCK HOUSE?

Anyway, ya queen, when are you gonna answer Mulphy's questions about ALL the EXTRA charges your boyfriend has in store for his guests at the mozaik?

I wait in anticipation

Love you JJ xxx

There goes that loser kolobos again. Funny that you always turn up to defend your bum chum mulphy. ;)

Shall I take a look at your webcam again to discover that there is still no one in your bar? Another bar in Pattaya?? What a twat!

No, I didn't see any reviews of the Mozaik. Whatever you may try to say, you cannot put mulphy's guesthouse rooms in a same category as dedicated residential apartments.

Of course I take it personally if someone has a problem with one of my recommendations. I certainly haven't seen the review. Why not link to it?

I'm sure that your friend mulphy is on it somewhere. :)

Either way, I have no connection with any business in Pattaya, so my recommendation ar e based on my opinion and taste.

I'm still confident that Mozaik Luxury apartments will appeal to a wider audience than the down-at-heel Rockhouse.

Saying that, I do think that they should have two televisions in the one bedroom apartments.

They are not going to suit everyone. No one is forced to stay there. I'd advise taking a look for yourself before deciding.

Fuck of mister Jones

time wasting tosser

Off is only a three letter word, but it seems that it still caused you a problem.

The matter of punctuation seems to have eluded you..

Yet another undereducated monkey in Pattaya.

kolobos

As far as I know, Mozaik Luxury apartments are primarily aimed at stayers of at least one month and as such all of the extra charges are stated up front on the website.

That way, one can decide whether it is within budget.

Of course there are better value places around. Mozaik was only mentioned as their one bedroom apartments at 60 square metres are roughly the same size and price per month, as mulphy's guesthouse rooms. Only, they are much better equipped and located.

hello , i did stay in the mosaic in the past.

Because i was in PTY already, i don't know if you have to make a money-transfer

for the booking in advance, but for sure they charged me in advance (i was checking in the next day).

The place is quiet and clean, but, nothing special.

To my feeling, they overcharge for cleaning (when booking not day-by-day).

If i would stay there again ? Don't think so....

I am sure one can find better olaces in PTY.

But, i you look for a location in a not to noisy place, it's ok.

Just be sure not to have a place on the back-side, because somebody was slamming

on metals all night long while i was there.

Have to adlid, the place looks nice outside.

Inside it is nothing special

That doesn't look like a terrible review to me. i note that your bum chum mulphy posted on that very same thread. :)

Of course everyone should know that the last comment about it being gay was not part of the review, but your addition. :)

No one staying in the Mozaik would describe it as shabby. Now your place...... <huh That's a SHI*HOLE.

Thank you for illustrating so clearly why we should avoid your place. Idiot. :bow

I wish you wankers would quit hijacking my "seeking info thread" for your own narcissistic ego trips.

I was asking a serious question here. Despite the fact I have made one trip to Pattaya, I do still seek the expertise of fellow board members.

I don't know if you are including me in that description. But if you were.... you might consider that my posts were 'on topic'.

In addition to my recommendation of Imperial Residence on Soi 10, I sought clarity over the issue of the availabilty and cost of daily linen changes at mulphy's establishment.

Since he chose to recommend his place above your other two choices, you should appreciate the fact that someone is willing to point out the reality behind his self promotion.

The fact is that mulphy and his friends don't like anyone pointing out the realities of staying at the Rockhouse. They tend to react with a string of expletives, showing their real character behind the gloss.

So, if you are happy with the way that mulphy dealt with the question of daily linen change

so here it is , i am the owner ,i dont change sheets ,i also dont pay laundry bills , i have people to do things like that for me.

the rules of the house are we will change your sheets weekly , which i am positive is more frequently than most people do at home.

If you don't mind walking through the bar each time you need to get to your room, bartering with the Housekeeper, a lack of dedicated parking, swimming pool, bathtub, seaview or easy access to beach, outside lounge space, telephone, security(where do the girls leave their ID cards? Who makes a note of their details?)...... then stay at the Rockhouse.

Otherwise, go with one of your other choices or come up with clearer requirements and information(When and for how long, for instance) for the most suitable recommendation.

So, if it was a [/b]serious question and you haven't got the answer yet, you should provide more information.

not true i remember last year kolobos was quite critical of mulphy on one of the other boards.

ive stayed at the rockhouse and id highly recomend it to anyone who isnt worried about having a pool.

anyway when i wanted a swim i just used sutas courts pool for 30 bt

I stayed at Areca lodge about 12 months ago and I think it was great value for money and an excellent location. It was 1000Bt with breakfast included, rooms were nice (with safe) and there were two swimming pools. There was no charge for bringing a girl back, however I tend to agree with a previous post that the hotel seemed to be leaning towards families.

Note: I only used the pool twice during a 10-day stay and after the third night of partying, I never made it up in time for breakfast

I haven't been to the Rock House but I'm considering it for my next trip in November, although I note there are only 3 rooms so they may be booked. Room looks nice though and at only 5100bt per week + 250bt sheet change this is only 750Bt per night so it looks a real bargain. I also like the fact that you live in a bar as it sounds like a good way to feel like a regular for the week :)

1000 baht!? oh that sounds like the best deal but mayb it should have been in low season. Did u get that quote booking thro a website? And was it for a standard room? :clueless

Booked through Areca website direct, which currently states a standard room is 1150bt low season; 1490 bt high season (Dec 1-23 & Jan 1-31) and 1790bt peak season (Dec 24-31).

Note: Deluxe (Pool view) room is 200bt per night more for same dates as above.

Btw, this means the Rock House works out a "Bar fine" per night cheaper :)
