Charming inn -??

has anyone stayed at this hotel soi 3 - it has a pool & is ridiculously cheap @ 500 baht a night.

they don`t have a website, i presume i would have to call to book.

 

Is it any good or a shithole?!

Chum stayed there a few years ago. So unhappy was he that he moved out and into the old Beach view hotel on Beach Rd / Soi 2. Even though he'd fully paid them for his month long stay

It is a complete dive of a joint. (and i dont remember the price but it wasnt 500baht....more like 650).

 

You wouldnt want to leave ANY valuables in the room whatsoever and tha safes at reception are only available to open up until 9pm. So if you dont plan ahead and have suitable cash//atm on you beforehand then you can end up with everything locked away til morning.

 

It has got location going for it...beach rd and on the baht bus route, but there are much better choices out there.

I looked into this place a couple of years ago because of the price and location,but even when they showed me around a couple of rooms (you would expect them to show you the best available) I was unimpressed by both room size and cleanliness ,added to which the pool was positively green and i such a poorlocation as to be almost unusable even if clean,altogether not a place to take your dog, never mind your luggage.

PS this place is cheap yes ,but not cheap enough to waste time with, there are better and cleaner places all over town ,the only shame here is the location is wasted on this dump.

I've alway stayed there it just the location, near to soi 6, near to the beech, near to the bars on soi 2!! And far enough away from the noise of Walking Street?? Then again your only a ride away from anywhere anyway aren't you?? Price not bad either!!

Stayed there in 1986 (shithole then), don't think much has been spent on it since.

let me add to the other favorable reports that another hotel is being built right next to this hotel on Soi 3.

if your young and single and not botherd there fine, i know lots of lads reg stay there, and at 5 am they all go back to hotel pissed and stright into pool shouting etc, its that type of hotel, if ya a bit oldeer and want a bit more quite try this list
