Condo Cleaning

Recommended Posts

I have a 90 sqm condo which I currently clean myself. I have tried to get a thai cleaner to give it a clean say 1-2 times a month but have been quoted some very high figures - Tip Top wanted 4,000 baht !! Can anyone recommend a cleaner who is willing to come on a regular basis for a reasonable rate. I assume if wages here for cleaners are 2-300 baht a day then say a 500 baht fee is about right for a one day clean.

Thanks

Does the office in your condo offer a cleaning service?

View Talay 2A charges 300 baht per unit so as I have a double unit - 74 square metres, it costs me 600 baht each time I get it cleaned. They also provide all the materials, which I suspect you might have to pay if not using a regular firm.

They send in about 4 cleaners who do a very good job. In all, it takes the 4 of them less than an hour.

I understand CheshireTom has started cleaning condos to supplement his retirement income. Send him a PM for further details.

And you pay it ? Must be mad.

Do you really think the cleaners get Bt150-200 per hour ?

It was OTT 3 years ago at Bt250 and now is just a piss take. If they have to travel and only for your condo then perhaps higher pricing but not when they are downstairs anyway.

Do you think the dairy farmers get 42 baht a litre for their milk? Do you think Mercedes Benz workers split $50,000 for each car they assemble? Are you and other buyers mad to play such ridiculous markups?

That seems extreme at the other end and given the Diana Group's charitable work around Pattaya it would not look good for them to be paying so poorly.

If they are cleaning hotel rooms then it is not so bad as they have the opportunity for tips but not for general cleaning with no chance of an uplift.

I clean my own condo .It only takes about 1 hour a week .( 30 sq meters ) .Could pay the Condo staff to do it ,but don't like them poking around with my personal effects .

I have been known to let things go ,and it ends up being cleaned by a bar fine girl , He He !

The girls I Bf usually do for me. But in the case I would have my condo cleaned, I would talk to a cleaning lady in the condominium when no one where watcing, because they risk getting sacked otherwise

Hi, only by western standards is this a a low wage ,as the minimum wage in Pattaya this year was 155 baht a day.The cleaners I mentioned were room cleaners as that was what the OP was about,I believe the pool man was on 8000 a month, but that was in a conversation about his new job ( car factory ) when he told us that he was being paid

16000 a month and that was twice what he was getting at the pool.

I pay out of laziness more than anything. I get it cleaned on average once every two weeks.

If I could find someone reliable and trustworth, I'd happily employ her.

I have talked to one or two who fulfil those requirements currently working in Peppermint a Go-Go. Their rate is about 2000 baht/ hour for knob polishing! :D
