I am planningia a trip to LOS in May. In order to disguise this trip I have told her indoors I am going to India!

Anyway, are there any low cast airlines operating between The sub Continent and BKK. All info would be appreciated.

Am stating the obvious but what happens when madam takes the unusual step of looking at your passport.

It never happens but theres always a first time :hithead

I worked with an Indian bloke who did this every year- twice sometimes.

The last time, his wife decided to go with him at the last moment. It would be lovely to see mum again. :hithead

He had a great time rushing round getting a ticket for himself, the day before he left.

I recently flew Thai from Mumbai to Bangkok, can't remember the cost excatly but it was fair, somewhere in the £150 - £250 return region. Flight too 3-4 hours. No problems but Mumbai airport is fucking shitty.

As for the passports and stamps there are 3 options open -

1 - NEVER let you wife girlfriend see your passport, always keep it hidden.

2 - 'Lose' it when you get home and order another one

3 - Get a second pasport, you can do this but I think you need a good excuse, some have 2 passports because they do business in Saudi Arabia and Israel and each passport control can get itchy wanting to know why you've visited the other etc

Till the first week of December we had Nok Air flying Bangalore -Bangkok daily. It has stopped operations. So let us not talk about it...

The shortest flight from india to Bangkok is Calcutta(Kolkata)- Bangkok. Flight time 2hrs 30 min approx. Jet airways and Air India fly this sector. Jet is a great airline. Price should be around 9,000 INR(115 GBP) Both Jet and Air India are full service airlines.

The second shortest route would be Madras (Chennai) - Bangkok. Thai and Air India fly on this route. Flight tine 3 hrs approx. Air India flies on 3-4 days a week but has a convenient morning flight. Service is fuck all. Price would be around 13,000 INR (165 GBP) by AI. Thai will be about 2000 INR more.

Bangalore- Bangkok is the third shortest distance (3hrs 30 min approx) Thai and Air India operate a code shared (Thai airways) flight. Buying a ticket through Air India will be cheaper. Price approx 17,000 INR (215 GBP) If you book a month in advance you can get a ticket at less than 14,000 INR

Cheers!
