With a bit of luck economy fares from the UK will rise to £1000 plus, which should keep most of the papillon look a likes, out of town

Couldnt agree more-cheap fares are great, however if they were £1000 plus would happily pay the additional and can afford to do so, if it kept the moronic, skin headed, slobbily dressed tattoed tossers out of Thailand.

Some points are valid you just have to look around every day on the net.

I used southhall travel once over priced but I did book last minute so i paid it.

If the fare hikes to £1000 it will keeps the Benidom Brigade away I would pay it. Not that want to pay the sort of money.

Good point SB I have been trying around and can put southall in a very large group of what would appear false advertising cheap flights companies A1 also! I am just back but being a greedy brute I want to head back possibly in July if I get the right deal. I laughed at a travel agent today when he quoted near £1000 especially when he told me but its the summer season. I told him it maybe here but in LOS its the rainny one!

Great price. I usually book with airline network at about £550, but this year looks like £700 ish.

How many nectar points is that? Maybe I should get a nectar card.

Hi mate.

You changed your tune quickly mate from your own Quote above.

I'm all in favour of keeping the lager louts out of Pattaya but £1,000 economy return is a bit much especially as I now insist on flying at least Business Class on long haul flights. Economy is fine for shorter flights but as my knees as totally fucked, anything over 3 hours is sheer murder in economy.

Flying Business with Emirates on Sunday night to Glasgow for £1,550 return. For that, they will chauffeur me to Edinburgh for free and then take me back to the airport from the East Neuk of Fife for a mere £25.50.

For a short trip, fourteen days or less, leaving before the end of this month you can still get a flight for £386 return.

Hi

Yes, you are right there are some cheap flights available at the price you quote above.

But if you collect Nectar points the flights is even cheaper. Another Example below,

Flights with Qatar Airways from Heathrow Dep: 27th May return 10th June 14days

with Ebookers.com

43,000 points Flight + Tax only to pay at £176.30

32,850 points Flight £54.75 + Tax at £176.30

21,900 points Flight £109.50 + Tax at £176.30

10,950 points Flight £164.25 + Tax at £176.30

With Nectar points you can book any flight short or long stay does not matter only

great savings to be had, as i well know have saved pounds and pounds with them.

Try any of these search web sites you are sure to find what your looking for.

www.travelsupermarket.com

www.asiatravelmarket.com

www.uk.mobissimo.com

Best of luck, plenty of lower fares then you have found so far.

I am looking for a return flight from Bangkok to Heathrow but can't find anything cheap. Tried the QATAR website and the price is 39,000 baht approx £630.

Spidey.

Unfortunately the poorest thai baht rate against the pound for some years is

making flights from Bangkok to the UK much more expensive and i doubt very

much that you will find anything cheaper as my mate also found out.

Remember just 2 years ago i was getting 75 baht for 1 pound that would make

your 39,000 baht flight then £520.
