Bangkok to Manila is still the best option unfortunately.

You could go via Singapore and other places but you are really wasting your time.

Stay in Manila for one night and then travel to AC in the morning.

There are much better P4P places in Manila than AC so no need to miss out on the action and you arrive in AC more refreshed and ready to go :flamethrower:

I have done the bangkok manila with cebu the cheapest airline by far ! although the times are crap I think it leaves bkk at 0130 and arrives in manila at 0525 roughly. Then its a 1.5 - 2 hr journey by taxi at a cost of between 2300 and 2600 pesos. I have just recently done the Bkk to Kula lumper although you have to stay overnight as its a very early morning flight 7ish I think but as its international you have to be at the airport that bit earlier. The only good thing about this is that it takes you straight into Clark. So my friend the choice is yours ! as for the nightlife in Manila previously mentioned I cannot comment. I can only tell you of a time when I travelled there from Bkk and was on my taxi journey down when we got a flat wheel within the city limits and the driver refused to stop for another 3/4 of an hour due to the area not being safe!! As for Angeles city well you will enjoy it so go there by all means whatever way you travel! :flamethrower:

I am fortunate that my Air asia flight from the gold coast in australia to KL gets in at 4.15am and at 7.20am there is a direct flight to clark. worth remembering for any ozzies considering AC.

I used to get a taxi from Manila airport straight to AC.

Nowadays, I prefer to use the 2500 Peso taxi fare to stay in a good Manila hotel in Ermita which is a 5 minute walk from the L.A. Cafe. Then in the morning I get a metered taxi to the bus station. Then an aircon bus to Dau Station which is a 5 minute trike ride from Field Ave AC.

Metered taxi from airport to hotel @ 300 PHP

Metered taxi from hotel to bus station @ 200 PHP

Bus fare to Dau @ 150 PHP

Trike fare to Field Ave hotel 50/100 PHP

Plus cost of hotel for one night?

If you're hard core, travel with just a carry on bag and head straight to LA Cafe from the airport and hang out in the bar all night. Loads of freelancers, 24/7. Short time rooms round the corner. Get the bus to AC in the morning arrive in time to check in @ noon.

Happy days :drunk :D

Bangkok to Clark via Macau with Air Asia can be done without any overnight stops. Well it could a few months ago....flight times were good.

Return journey can be done via Kuala Lumpur.

There are no direct flights although there has been talk of a few airlines introducing that route now for about 2 years including Cebu.
