I am planning to come with the wife to Bangkok and therefore would like to splash out on a 5+ stars hotel in BKK.

Do you guys know of any website that can offer discounted deals?

Thank you !

Try priceline.com. You should read a site called biddingfortravel.com (or something similar....you can google it) which includes reports on recent prices for specific areas so you can get a sense of what to bid on priceline.

priceline is kind of beat right now for Bangkok hotels. You used to able to get the Shang, JW Marriott, and Westin for around $70 - but those days are gone.

Try this one:

I used to use the Hong Kong Priceline for Bangkok hotels because you could immediately rebid. Anyway, the few times I used it, I got good deals on 5 star hotels. One time, I paid $60 a night for three nights at the JW Marriott. Another time I got the Sheraton Westin? for $70 a night.

Otherwise, try Agoda.

On Sawadee.com there are some "special rates" being published recently. One of my favourite BKK hotel, Centre Point Petchburi, has a special rate of 2100 baht now (was 2600 baht).

It is not a 5-star hotel, but very, very nice (for sure a 4 star) and @ 2100 bath a bargain!

Succes en geniet ervan (Success and enjoy!)

www.ratestogo.com and www.agoda.com are proving consistently the best for me over the last 6 months (about a week a month in Bangkok).

Also, some of the newer hotels, such as the Adelphi on Soi 8 will do deals and post offers on their website.

Also look at the hotels / apartments / residences managed by the Aspen Group and the Compass Group.
