I've been using westeast for a few years now as they usually have good deals on Thai Airways flights.

 

As of this morning their website just lists links to other sites. Have they gone bust?

 

If they have closed down does anyone have recommendations for other UK agents who give good prices, in particular for mileage earning (q class or better) Thai flights?

I used them last xmas for my trip to Thailand which was changed to the Philippines

after the Suvarnabhumi problem, took me ages to fight for the refund they promised

Even if I google west east travel I get to the site.

 

I have used them a couple of times with Eva air and have booked through them for New year

The link works but takes me to a site for "Eastwest Travel" that is definitely NOT their normal site. When going to one of the options my Internet Security alerts me to all sorts of nasty things going on, with trojans etc etc.

 

Ah .....Just tried it again, and it's certainly not the westeast travel facility that we have come to know and the one used so much by persons on this board. I think the OP was probably correct. Something wrong somewhere !

 

Just found the phone number from my last booking. It's 0870 220 1001. Lady there says their regular website is down at the moment and all bookings must be done over the phone.

They are still operating - they are one of my customers.

I had trouble with their site last week. Mentioned it to a friend and he said hed been looking at it the same night and it was fine. Strange.

Thanks for the responses. Possibly just an issue with their website then. Good to know they are still going as I've been very happy with the service and prices. Will phone them instead.

Well, their usual website is back and seems OK now.

I can confirm they are fully operational. We are one of their agents in the UK and our UK GM processed a booking as normal today.

 

Like most travel companies, they have to pull the web site down from time to time to upgrade the booking engine. There were some changes in taxes this week so this might explain the outage.

I normally use westeast but wanted to book last week and site was down

tried e-bookers and got flight with EVA end of October for £399.00 now showing as £452

 

same dates with westeast well over £500

They were at The Thaifood festival in Greenwich today (9th August). Their best direct flight offer I think was £409 with EVA.

I have been looking at LHR-BKK flights for Dedcember. The times of the flights are incorrect.

Once i read this i got very worried as i have booked through them for my up coming trip ,but looks like all is okay .

 

 

my advice is you will probably find best fares on southall travel site ,but being and indain company very very hard to deal with if you have a problem .just get the best quote form them and email it to west east travel and the will beat it ,as they have a price match promise .

You can smoke outside of the terminal 3 building but no where inside of it and once you go through security you cannot smoke until you get to your destination.

I don't smoke but Heathrow does that to me anyhow!
