eva air enhanced economy

Recommended Posts

I have flown with Eva a few times and i thought economy was just as good, you get the same meals etc, justa very slightly better seat, but the economy was probably the best economy seat ive ever had

I used the enhanced economy with EVA AIR on my last but one trip. Personally didn't think the extra £300 or whatever it was at the time was worth it !

Larger, more comfortable seat, same food, I believe as in economy.

However westeast travel are apparently doing some amazing deals with EVA according to this link.

If I hadn't already booked, I'd certainly give this a try !(but by 13th September)

Edit: Just gave it a try and put in my existing flight dates(which qualify datewise in their offer) and the premium economy

fare was quoted £828. Perhaps the deal is only by phone ??

As I age the Elite class on EVA is worth every extra dollar. You also get 1.5 times the milage accrued if you are a regular passenger.

The food is the same but the seats are wider with deeper pitch. The leg rest, bah, makes my jumpy leg sindrome worse. The seat reclines farther. On a 12.5 hour flight to TPE from SFO it makes a dif for this 58 y/o body with its many sports related injuries.

Flew BKK to Taipei in economy two weeks ago and it reminded me why I love Elite class.

BTW, 747 = Deluxe class and 777 = Elite class. Seats are different, especially leg rests.

There is no way in the world I can handle the 17hour flight across the Pacific in a coach seat. While Delux/Exec are doable.

This might depend on somebodies size. Not fat, but at 6'2 I can use the room.

Delux was better than EE though.

Also, seams like the US prices on EVA are a lot better than for the EU crowd. Exec econ USBKK round trip is around $1400US all in. Biz class is under $2500 when booked fron BKK.

I did this last trip flying home from BKK to LHR and was charged US$200 for the upgrade one-way. Edited by telmah

I have always liked and paid extra for the Elite Class but this trip I will fly Eva economy only because of the price. It used to cost only 300 Canadian dollars extra round trip, it is now double that in a few years. I think it has gotten too popular.

I think I'll pop a sleeping pill for the 14 hour leg from Vancouver to Tapei, I won't notice the smaller seats that way.
