In Flight Entertainment on Thai Airways Flight

Flew with Thai in April for Songkran, overhead screens for all and the planes where a bit tired looking.

Does not matter for me, i am usually asleep for most of the flight and only wake up when i smell food.

Thats strange EVA normally is normally quoted cheaper to me. Have you tried West East Travel? Give it a Google.

Just to report back as promised, I flew EVA and to be honest I preferred it to Thai. Mind you the fact that it's a 777 not the 747 meant me prebooked seat was not where I had expected. For direct I would go EVA everytime if the prices are comparable. The only down side is the food on EVA really is not good ,even starting from the low point of being airline food... Thai was much better on this point.

The other problem with Eva is the return BKK-LHR is during day hours.

 

I prefer night flights all the way

Another down side on Eva is that 3 of the 4 aisle seats have got electonic boxes for the AVOD system under the seat in front severely restricting leg room.

And LostinAmsterdam, I know exactly what you mean mate, I do prefer the night time flights too, as I tend to adjust to the time difference a bit easier, but as I cant really sleep on planes anyway, thats why I originally posted the question, otherwise I wouldn't really care.
