What are China Alrlines like to travel with

we are going to book up with china airlines this week, please has anyone travelled with them before? i usually use Emirates but china came alot heaper, whats the food, service and entertainment like ?

My G/F flew Orlando Fl to BKK. She was not too impressed with the food or service. But hey, you got a much shorter flight so maybe it's not such a big deal.

A real vanilla operation. Slightly smaller seats and pitch. Edible food, planes almost always on time, no extras. Gets where it's going, almost always dependably. Nothing bad to say, but nothing great to boost it. They usually have cheapest or close-to-cheapest tickets, so that's another good point of course.

it was nasty

 

old plane

no in seat tv - old tvs every 10 rows or so crap movies

 

rubbish in flight service

but it is direct and it was cheap

 

better than phuket air was

not up to eva or even thai standards

Yep, what they said.

 

I fly Cathay instead if I have a choice. Even United is better.

 

But if you have to do it, an Ambien CR might help get you through the flight nicely (check with your Doc).

Can only agree with the above. After your last flight with Emirates you will definately be disappointed. The only really good thing is the arrival time in BKK around 0630 and it is approx 5 hours quicker than Emirates form the UK

They are pretty good, only ever flew with KLM before, but last trip and next trip is China. I go with whoever is cheapest. One bonus is KLM give you a tiny 25cc beer, China you get a full size can of Taiwan beer ( Asoka or similar name?). Thought the planes were modern and clean, inflight entertainment very mediocre but I prefer to read anyway

have booked same KLM then china airways to patts at xmas hope it,s as good as you say
