Is the road work completed between Patts and Jomtien?

Recommended Posts

When I went to the Immigration office on the 14th of Dec to notify them of my change of address (I found out that this was no longer required) the work was completed to the Sugar Hut. There was alot of construction activity going on so hopefully it will be completed soon.

As of Wednesday, Dec 30th. 09, there is still lots to be done..mostly going downhill towards Jomtien and back uphill from there.....both sides.

Dust is nasty........although they do seem to try and keep it wet. And in some spots, it was really wet!!!

5th Jan 2010 From The Sugar Hut to Thepprasit traffic lights the road is like a tank training ground either very dusty or slippery with liquid mud depending on how long since they have watered it. Your car will be filthy in no time if you do the journey often. On a moto sai it is dangerous because due to the traffic you can't see far enough ahead to avoid the big potholes & if you fall back from the car in front another car will overtake and fill in the gap. If you wear false teeth you'll probably either lose or swallow them! Even worse at night. Go via Soi 17/Thepprasit Soi 8 and come back down to Jomtien traffic lights then turn left.

The poor buggers living in View Talay 1 & Chateau Dale are having a rotten time, even as pedestrians 'cos there is no footpath either.

Yes they are working on it as of today 5/1/10 but it's still a nightmare. I'm at the Royal Hill condo just down from the Sugar Hut and it's like living in a dustbowl. Every day my condo is covered in dust and i've given up trying to clean the bike. Hopefully things will improve soon but to date ........

LOL I don't see it ever being completed. Three months work in the states. What has it been here, three years and still not done?
