why would they sell it w/o profit ?

Obviously you have no knowledge of the retail busness otherwise you would of heard of Loss leaders. These are made to attract people into the store where they will buy more than just the loss leader.

The thing is that for the same price of a bottle of san mig on LK metro you can have 4 pints of carlsburg in the UK '

How much is a bar fine at Tesco? What do the ladies want for st/lt ?

However to take that girl is alot more expensive .

The typical guy that comes to pattaya for 4 weeks is paying alot more than maybe he realisies.

Flight per day = 886 bt for a 500 quid flight.

Taxis = 169bt per day to & from airports on both sides

bar fine = 300

room cheap =700 per day

Girl 1000

water & feed girl 100bt

a total of 3155bt =71,70p quid per girl on a cheep charlie trip . That is based on a girl 26 nights of the 28 . It goes up if you have less girls . Not so cheap is it

This has been revisited time n again

Yes you can suck up beer - by the pint - in UK pubs (real expensive establishments with tax paying bona fide staff, monstrous overheads, and more laws to obey than a Philadelphia Lawyer could figure) at way less than you can buy a tiny bottle of beer in a Pattaya beer bar (most times a structure not nearly up to the standards of where you overnight your vehicle back home)

Beggars belief but thats the way it is

You're really cutting it there mate nowadays this is what most guys pay:

Flight = anything between 500 and 900 quid.

Barfine = anything between 300 (beer bar) and a 1000 baht in certain WS Gogos.

Room = Mostly over a 1000 baht

Girl = anything from a 1000 LT to 3000 LT or ever more :banghead

Water & feed the girl = take her to a nice restaurant for the real GFE experience  = 500 baht.

So I reckon based on your calculations guys are paying well over a 100 quid per girl. Not cheap but beats fucking 30 mins for 50 euro in Amsterdam and paying 5 Euro for a pint of beer like some guys do I guess.

Do you know that Tesco in the UK sell Carlsburg at less than cost price 54p a pint . I believe some people actually think beer is cheep in Thailand .

Let's compare like with like...

Price for a can of Carlsberg (330ml) in a Pattaya supermarket is approximately 30 baht or 45 baht for 500 ml (approx. to 1 pint).

At current exchange rates of 47 baht to the £ then this makes a pint of Carlsberg in Pattaya to be approximately £1.

I have never paid more than £1 for a 500ml can of any brand of beer in London.

Beer in Pattaya is over priced: FACT

(if you re-ran the prices using Singha, which is only locally imported and therefore cheaper, at a price of 25 baht for 330ml or 37 baht for 500 ml then this still makes a pint of Singha to be 80 pence in Thai supermarkets)

Good idea, lets compare like to like, lets not compare imported beers to ones locally available.

Run of the mill carlsburg is 5% in Alc Volume yeah........

now compare that to locally available beers............... yeah....

ohhh my look out, we can buy the stronger (6%) chang at 89p for a 660ml bottle, not a real good comparison considering we get an extra 180ml's of beer for that coin............

How much of the (much cheaper) beer from your home country can you bring with you in your checked-in luggage before you are liable to a fine.

1 ltr of alcohol.

When is the last time you bought Carlsberg in LOS? I haven't seen it for 7 or 8 years now.
