One thing I got out of this was good sportsmanship all round, very unlike football with it's cheating, whining etc.....also, the Scots, English, Welsh and Irish all seemed to be unified, should be like that in other sports too.

How can you compare Golf to Football ? Golf, like darts, fishing and snooker, is a pastime, or to put it anothewr way- a good walk wasted.
