US company New England Sports Ventures has completed its takeover of Liverpool Football Club.

 

The move comes after former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett removed the temporary restraining order blocking the £300m sale on Friday morning.

I concur. When working at Heathrow, I had English, Indian, Sri lankan, Polish subordinates. If any of them did something wrong, they were a useless clunt, but not an Indian, Sri lankan, or Polish, useless clunt.

 

They more than half expected to be called it, if they cocked up and would have felt they were being treated different if they weren't summed up by a phrase, such as; " Youv'e left a 2 Grand scanner in the container and its on its way to Toronto ? You Useless cu..... ! "

 

Never had a complaint.

Thing is Hub, it was the likes of me who had to sign for these baggage scanners at the end of the working day, all 20,000 quids worth. Or fill in a report as to why they were not there. When somebody walked in the office with one in pieces because it had been run over, or left on a baggage dolly and fallen off onto the road, the " You Useless C### " came easily to mind .

 

As it happens I was a joy to work for- as long as you did your job right !
