Best High End Guest Friendly in Pattaya

Recommended Posts

I think you should elaborate more.

Luxury and truly guest friendly might not be much of an option. I guess it depends on your definition of both. Do you mean simply "no joiner fee"?

Most "luxury" hotels are not going to be happy about prostitutes in their hotel, guests or otherwise. That's what the fee is all about.

If you mean really nice rooms, The Vault has suites that might just be the best in Pattaya. However, it is not a luxury hotel. I would check these suites out if you are not on a budget. They are nicer than anything I have seen for under 3000 baht/night. In fact, I believe you won't find a nicer room for under 10k/night. No pool or other amenities though.

If you are looking to hang out at the hard rock pool with bar girls in thongs or tiny little shorts that have FUCK embroidered on the back, I hope you are looking for attention.

Also look at the Mosaik apartments, again not a luxury hotel, but very cool suites. More or less on the skirts (pun intended) of a gay area, but then again so are lots of places.

I've stayed at the Marriott three times this year, and they are fine with up to two 'guests'. There is no fee. When I brought 3 a couple times, they gave me some grief, but let it go. Anyway, hope that helps.

If you bring more than three guests to the vault, the owner hi-fives you. :D

I think there's a new Hilton in town that's pretty close to Walking Street off of Beach Rd. They got some Grand opening specials going on right now last I heard. Don't know if it's guest friendly or not.

This sounds a very good suggestion. Mike, one of the owners, will really take care of you if he is in Patts at the time, including showing you around the nightlife.

However, The Vault does not have many rooms and is popular. The OP wants a room over the Xmas period so needs to get moving with a booking, whether at The Vault or elsewhere.

Guys,

Heading to Pat in December for the first time 22-27. I am not on much of a budget but I also am not looking for a hassel. Can someone please offer their opinon on the best "luxury/guest friendly" hotel in Pattaya. I am most grateful!!

The vault will do the trick Ted.

I often wonder what the girls are trying to say, the ones described above with thongs and feck on there back.!

Dusit D2 is the best choice for guest friendly, near Royal Garden

Are you sure that these places are guest friendly?

Sounds good to me, only $90 K for month with a 25% discount on breakfast, count me in.

Before you pick the Dusit read DJMiami's trip report concerning the dusit. For the OP, I would PM him for a recommendation. I believe he has stayed in all of Pattaya's high end hotels. He will know for sure if they are guest friendly, and how far you can push the number of guest and still have them friendly.

Gents,

Regarding my request for Luxury/Guest Friendly....Just wanted to thank everyone for the assistance. I guess I don't mind paying "Joiner Fees" so that may open a few more doors. I mean, when you are used to paying what we pay in the States for "company" +$500/hr. a few Baht not much of an issue - no?

I am a Diamond member with Hilton. May be able to use "points." If I stay there (as one friend suggested) I will certainly let ya'll know about it.

Again, many thanks!

I don't think that the Hilton is open yet. I don't know for sure, but they are obviously still doing a lot of construction there. From the look of the building, they are still a long way off.

If you are not bothered about price then get the biggest suite at the vault. You WILL be impressed. They even do your laundry every day! Best of all, the place encourages "entertainment". How many hotel rooms have a stereo system with good speakers, a bar, a jaccuzzi and a stage complete with a chrome pole? What more could you possibly ask for in your room?

As to the joiner fee at high end hotels, it's a big friggen pain in the ass as well costing you. You will have to approach the front desk, the girl will turn in her ID and a receipt will be hand written for her. No big deal and I think this can be a good idea. However, next you will have to pay the fee, and wait for a hand written receipt for this as well. On top of all this, you may end up getting attitude from the front desk HiSo wanna be's who think their shit don't stink because they work behind the front desk at a high end hotel and you are a piece of shit for bringing back girl(s) to your room. They may also talk down to the girls you are bringing in and you may never find out unless you speak Thai. Not to mention the stares you will get from the "tourists" with kids in tow.

Do you really want to nurse a hangover while having breakfast with two girls in their fuck me outfits from last night while sitting next to a table of screaming fat white kids while the mother give you dirty looks and the father pretends to be outraged as he contemplates selling his soul to Satan to trade places with you?

Maybe you don't care, and good on you if you don't, but it bugs me to no end when I have to pay extra so that people can look down their noses at me.

Remember, they are charging you extra because they don't want your type at their hotel.

It's not about the additional cost ("Joiner Fees") for me. It's very annoying to be stopped by a security as if I committed a crime. Now, I always rent a villa with a private swimming pool. It's not like a luxury hotel but I like a villa better since it's more private and I can bring any number of girls. Besides, I love watching girls swimming naked.

We run a tour company here in Pattaya so I can give you the lowdown on the top properties as follows:

Definitely not guest friendly: Royal Cliff, Dusit Resort, Centara

Guest friendly by prior arrangement: Amari (I recommend the Towers)

Definitely guest friendly: Dusit D2, Marriott

New and unproven: Hilton, Holiday Inn. We haven't booked any customers into these places yet.

We have a number of our guests stay at the Tara Court on Pratamnuk Hill. They have some 1 bedroom suites that beat the Marriott for value.

If you care to send me a PM I will give you rates for Dusit D2, Amari and Tara Court. Watch out for compulsory Christmas and New Year dinners that will be higher than the room rate. I can sometimes negotiate these out for you.

Best regards.

Doghaus

I was in touch with their local reservation office yesterday. They said the hotel would be open "sometime in December" and were accepting reservations from December 1. No special rates were offered.

Good post, and food for thought. When I first got to Pattaya, I stayed in expensive hotels, it didn't take me long to decide that I shouldn't stay in a hotel that cost more than I was paying the lady. Staying in the higher end hotels, the ladies expect you to spend more on them and tip big. Every one of them will ask how much you pay per night.

Those I know that like the high end hotels say, that you can never go wrong with the Marriott in Pattaya. I've only known one person that stayed at the Vault. I have to say, it sounds interesting.

I think I am sold on the Vault if I can get it. The proprietor seems like a very cool guy!
