Please enlighten us on how the meaning is lost when:

"It's kind of sad. Women trying to earn a living in a non P4P way and so many forum butt wipes feel so superior in making nasty comments.

Forum butt wipes make nasty comments about her. Not about insurance, realiability or fitness to drive."

was abbreviated to:

"It's kind of sad. Women trying to earn a living in a non P4P way and so many forum butt wipes feel so superior...."

especially when anyone reading the thread would have just read your post just partway up the same page?

The answer is that the meaning isn't lost.

What it is, in fact. is just a continuation of your mantra "BMs have misquoted my posts and misinterpreted my past lies and ill behaviour on the board". That BS may work on some BMs including newer ones, but for those that have followed your antics, "that dog ain't never gonna hunt".

I see now you've revised your post to remove the reference to "Not about insurance, realiability or fitness to drive", which in point of fact, was the basis of many of the "forum butt wipes'" posts before yours. More revisionist history there, Denny. Nice.

Give my regards to Kissinger.

To the OP, sorry to stray of topic.

I would be interested in hearing about her insurance etc., as well as any other BM experiences in reliability, driving, etc.

I think ts quite good if a bar girl can find some other form of occupation to make a living, when they grow tired of working in a bar every night, or get too old.

Taxi drivers in Pattaya, arent exactly professionals are they ?? Most people can drive a car to the airport and back.

One could wonder what the situation is with many of the taxis in Pattaya are - who actually asks when they are picked up to go the airport about whay insurance policy the driver has ????????

I say good luck to her, if that's what she wants to do, and if someone wants to hire her. No harm in it.

Now it's my turn to stray off topic. :) I'm still amused by Tom calling her attempt at making a living illegitimate. It's surprising for an established and well-respected BM to say something so stupid.

If you're going to comment on what I wrote, at least try and stick to what I actually wrote, rather than what the voices in your head tell you I might have been thinking. I made no mention of the girl at all, let alone, "call her attempt at making a living illegitimate".

You'd also be pissing on a guy (and his family) who was trying to make a living legitimately. I'd much sooner support the legit, one-man operator guys in the green and yellow taxis who are paying their registration, tax and insurance.

Includes elements of, but not limited to, P4P. The board is a marketing tool for a bar - nothing more, nothing less.

He implied that it revolves around bars. I wonder if he patronizes bars that are owned by people that constantly get tourist visas and don't have proper work papers.

There's no legal requirement to have a visa of any description to (part)-own a bar. Nor is there a requirement to have "work papers".

However, the taxi situation has been done to death previously on the board with the Mr Dream character - the bottom line is that if she isn't licensed and the vehicle isn't registered as a public taxi, then she isn't insured to pick up fare-paying passengers. If that amuses you, so be it.

Please. Without the P4P element of FLB, there would be barely any activity on this board. You think people come here to read Airbus vs. Boeing threads?

Foreigners don't need a work permit to work in Thailand? I was unaware of that. Could you show me how that's allowed? That must be a new development.

You didn't say work in a bar - you said own a bar - no work permit required.

Christ. You know what I'm talking about. Do you patronize Pattaya bars that are owned AND OPERATED by people without work permits?

It's one of several successful Thai-orientated forums that don't include P4P discussion topics. None of them rely on the antics of a Pattaya bar to keep the numbers up.

If she's insured to operate a taxi service it can't be.

That's an amazingly poor example that has nothing to do with anything -- different board, different audience, and different topic. Like i said before, the traffic here -- a Pattaya board -- would be significantly less without P4P discussions. That's the central discussion topic. Going with your comparison, that would be like not discussing Thai visa issues on ThaiVisa.com.

Really? Even the ones the post on these boards? I find that hard to believe. I also doubt you'd admit it.

Anyway, this is just a waste of time. If you don't want to use her service, that's fine. Like I said, it's up to you. I felt your comment was completely unnecessary. Go ahead and support all of your fully licensed drivers, prostitutes, food cart operators, massage therapists, etc.

Antics of a Pattaya bar?

Couldn't you have come up with something a little more dismissive? I'm disappointed.

I could have repeated the "P4P element of FLB" description but didn't want to go down the plagiarism route. I think that paraphrasing it as "the antics of a Pattaya bar" is much better. I'm sure that you'd agree that the FLB amounts to a bit more than just P4P. Well, at least I hope so.

As if running a bar or internet chat forum has anything to do with licensed taxis.

  • 1 month later...

I am going to try to drag this thread, kicking and screaming back on subject. :allright

I used Tuk on three occasions last month and found her service impeccable, the first two

times the cars were good and the drivers and driving sensible. The third time was at short notice (15 minutes)

and she got me out of a jam after someone else let me down.

I would be happy to use her again and recommend her on the board.

It sounds like she not just a driver but also running a car service.

Funny thread. We got some BMs that are concerned about the legality of the service yet I'm pretty sure that they been customers in the past of Thai working girls and I don't believe that prostitution is legal in LOS.

That is hardly comparable to offering a taxi service is it now?

There has been numerous discussions regarding legal/illegal insured or not taxi services and that is likely the point.
