Does anyone know of any picture editing software that I can use to blur out faces on pictures? I've tried using picasa but no luck, so any help would be appreciated.

Try downloading "Paint Net" its free and trusted. You can do most types of editing with it.

IrfanView is very simple. But you know, Microsoft Paint will do fine. Anything with a Blur tool, just blur the face.

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program).

Whoa, that is an awful lot of program to be loading just to blur faces. A heck of a good replacement for Photoshop, but for a simple job?

I use Paint Shop Pro ... not as 'hungry as Photoshop.

Photogadget is free and great for resizing. Some people who post on here seriously need to use it.

I use Irfan View for viewing and Paint.NET for editing. You can set an external editor for Irfan View in preferences so as you are cycling through a set of pictures and you see one that needs editing just pull it up in Paint.Net with File > Open In External. Do what you need to do to the photo then Save, or Save As if you want to keep the original, then Close or Exit. If you know you will be doing several edits to different photos just Close the image but leave Paint open. In Irfan View hit F5 to see your new masterpiece. Both programs are free

For some it may be worth looking at this site Pixelr

Many of the basics and some of the not so basic options from software packages are available online so you don't even need to be on your computer to make the edits.

These are both great (free) small programs for blurring faces and an awful lot more -- Paint.Net would be better, in my opinion. So is PhotoFiltre, the rough equivalent of Paint.Net. For blurring faces only, Microsoft Paint is great. Some of the programs -- Photoshop, PSP, The GIMP -- are fantastic software but way, WAY overkill to blur faces on some snapshots.
