English Resident and his Thai Wife seriously assaulted in South Pattaya house robbery

An English resident of Pattaya and his Thai Wife were seriously assaulted during a house robbery late on Sunday Night. The incident occurred at the Majestic Residence off the Pratamnuk Road in South Pattaya. The break-in occurred at a house owned by Mr. David Snell aged 62 who was rushed to the Pattaya International Hospital with serious head injuries. The wife of Mr. Snell, Khun Benjar aged 52 explained to Police that three men entered the house while the couple were sleeping. Mr. Snell and his wife had their hands bound together using a leather belt. They were ordered to reveal the location of their safe and after several blows to the head, they gave over the information and their safe box was broken into. Inside was 20,000 Euros, Diamond and gold Jewelry and a Rolex watch. The combined value of the stolen items is estimated at 1 Million Baht. Pattaya Police investigators believe this to be a pre-planned robbery and the men are suspected of staking out the estate prior to the robbery. The three suspects covered their faces with balaclavas and at this time there is no indication the men were caught on Security Cameras. The couple was found by a Pool Technician who works at the village and he also saw nothing suspicious. The investigation continues as Mr. Snell and his wife recover from their injuries in Hospital.

Yes I was this ,its a sad thing but can happen any where in the world.

Makes you wonder if men knew a lot of cash in house.

Be lucky to get more than 50000 bhts value if i was robbed at my house and half of this is due to lap top.

To me this man kept to much money in house ,but it makes it a sad world that we need to think this

Nasty story!

One thing puzzles me tho, why an Englishman in Thailand would have 20,000 EUROS??

Lots of English people live in Europe now and visit Pattaya on a regular basis.

Another good reason not to buy a house here. I would never feel safe unless security was top notch. I'll stick to my 5th floor condo i think.
Yeah, you never read about people being found dead in or below the windows of condos do you?

Never heard of a bank ?

That equates to $27,000 in cash in Australian bucks.

Why the fuck would any sane cunt have that in his house ?

Looking for trouble i reckon.

I'd be asking the dragon a few questions.
