I've used their airport pick up and they are efficent...good clean car and safe driver...Dr. Kim's "sister" runs the cab service back to the airport...or at least she used to...and they will use your deposit to pay for her services if needed...good clean cars and safe and silent transport to BKK.

just one last comment....unless you're staying a month or so at the PBR...which I have, a couple of times...do yourself a favor and book a deluxe room...the standard room is tiny and you will soon tire of bumping into yerself.....also, don't give too much thought to the free breakfast...it ain't nothing to write home about...and even if I woke up at dusk, I wouldn't eat hot dogs for breakfast...too many fabulous options for breakfast in Pattaya to get locked into a hotel because of a freebie breakfast.

Here we go,

Now the problem with PBR, in the monthly rooms, is that they are tiny, especially if you want to swing your cat.

What many don't know (because the hotel doesn't openly promote it) is that you don't need to take the free breakfast and can get 100 baht discount on the room instead.

First a minus, now a plus.

I suppose all things are plus and minus!

Spike, you were wrong about time/distance to locations and you are wrong about the breakfast at PBR,"don't give too much thought to the free breakfast...it ain't nothing to write home about...and even if I woke up at dusk, I wouldn't eat hot dogs for breakfast".

Really! The menu has several hot items,a cold choice of cereal & yougurt and a Thai choice or 2 for your rental.Let's not forget the juice and coffee or tea.I'd say it's worth 75-90b and it's really convenient if you want to stay inside because of the wx or you want to regain some "power" for the last round before you send your rental packing.Or if you're too lazy go off property.

I've only stayed 3 times with 2 weeks being the longest.

He's simply posting a fact that many others here happen to agree with! The rooms are small and IMHO even at the Monthly rate no great bargain. It's accessability is also anything but easy especially heading back after having a skinful in the early hours! Please don"t say you can rely on their much vaunted free "Tuk-Tuk" at that time. The great thing about this forum is that ALL respectful criticism is allowed, unlike "Andicks" where any such remarks towards this revered/worshiped average accomodation would earn you an immediate banning, and that also is a FACT!

As long as you accept it's limitations it's no worse than many others but there is FAR superior options available at the same price. :thumbup :grin

I've stayed in their standard room using their monthly rate and didn't think it was too small and for the price it's a great deal

I would suggest to the OP to book a couple of days and see if he likes the room, if not he could always find a new room while on the ground. I would stay at the PBR again and recommend the place. :thumbup

Only a matter of time before this thread turned.

Too many positive things being said so the "haters" have to to step in . :o

So now you are saying that unless our opinions are that this place is the best thing since sliced bread, we are "Haters", What a ridiculous assumption!

Another ridiculous assumption, the OP knows many better/superior places, that I KNOW for a fact! Care to go for a hatrick of useless posts! :o

WOW your 3rd one was quick! You still fail to address just WHY in simply posting MY opinion makes me a "Hater"? :o

The "their is plenty of places better" is one of the most uselesss posts you can make if your not going mention some of these places.

Why do you describe someone who is trying to be objective as a "hater"?

Why don't you kids quit fighting and help out.

I just booked my airfare for my fifth trip and I am looking for a GOOD place to stay for 1,000 or less.

Names, links to websites and comments on GOOD hotels would certainly be welcome.

I also have stayed at PBR in the past and liked it, may stay again on my upcoming trip, but still shopping hoping for some place better.
