This coming Saturday (20th) Lam is celebrating his birthday and we'll be holding a bit of a party for him in the Blues Factory.

There will be music from 9.00pm by The Blues Machine with Snowman followed by Lam Morrison and his rock n roll band at 12.00am, Lam has also said that he'll come in earlier to greet people that visit him.

There will also hopefully there will also be a few guest acts popping in and even maybe a few famous faces from the Thai music scene.

Hope to see you there.

What birthday? About 74?

This is a guy who started out playing on the US-controlled airbase at Udon Thani in the Vietnam war. He took his name from the Doors' lead singer Jim Morrison, not that any young and hansum mongers remember The Doors. And he's lived a very hard life Lam. Happy birthday, man.

Wigs and age apart.......He's looking a sight better than Jim is these days. Saw him on Thai TV with his daughter...she was in some talent show for the off-spring of the famous. She sang well and he was so proud. I'll be bringing my son to see him in Dec so I hope whatever his age he's not ready to retire just yet. For me, Lam and 'Tina' from the Malibu are Pattaya's true icons
