Well guys, the 30 days as an expat TR has been fun, as well as a pain in the ass. It seems to have gone over well. I believe my 30 days are up. I'm thinking we should keep the thread going. I just don't have the energy to keep it up. There were some great addititions when I first started. Jacko, Losgrad, and Mirkwood come to mind. Maybe we could get one of them to take the ball and run with it. If we did this right, we could pass it off to another expat every, 30 days. I'm sure that Bushcraft, Hammer, Frosty, and MM could make could make an interesting read as well. There are many more if we could get them to step up. One of them could volunteer, or we could vote for the one we want to take over next, and just push them into it :) Who would you like to take over next? It would be great if the expats took their turn by the number of votes they got. Who ever got the biggest number of votes goes first, second takes it the next month and so on. When we run out of names add more and vote again.

Over so soon? Surely not! I think we're up to about day 15, please continue LD :thumbup

Seriously Lovedog many thanks for all your effort with the expat report, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your(and Rocky's) adventures! :chogdee

All good things must come to an end. The TR was quite an undertaking for someone that types with two fingers. I thought of doing weekly updates, but I have problems remembering what I did 7 days ago. A few days a go, I went back and read what I had written, and it was all new to me, because I couldn't remember 1/2 of it. Anyway, I'd like to be on the reading end for a while. I'd really like to see Jacko or Mirkwood step up next. :thumbup I really enjoyed their additions to the thread. I think they stopped posting because it was getting confusing to the readers.

As you say this would be rather time-consuming. I don't mind doing a prowl report every few weeks, for ssome reason I feel in the mood when nursing a hangover. I am going out of the country soon for a while so I pass on this idea. MM already did a super one 'Single again after all these years'...

I think Papillon might be an interesting month......

Think you should add to the list Admiral Ken or 2SS or whatever his name is nowadays. :chogdee

I didn't add Ken because he says that he is really busy with his business, just didn't think he would have time. I would have left MM off the list for the same reason, but he is on the board every day anyway. Besides, he takes notes on his phone, which is a good idea for anyone wanting to do their own trip report.

Frosty 7 and Joekicker 6 isn't a decisive win. Frosty when not on his computer leads an interesting life, an honest account of it would be good reading. I'm not sure about Joe, I have visions of... I woke up and turned on the computer, corrected three of lovedogs posts, put Jacko in his place, followed by correcting two VicVegas posts. Had breakfast and went back to see if anyone had answered my posts, replied to Villa's post with an answer that will keep him wondering for a while, added a reply to each of the political topics then went for lunch, got back on pattayatalk and sent a zinger to any of those that answered my posts, checked the newbie section and found a couple that I could confuse, I'm sure they are looking at maps and reading books now trying to figure it out. Had dinner, got back on pattayatalk, corrected more posts.......................

I agree with you MM, that is exactly what I think would happen if JK were to write a "30 days in the life of an expat" TR.

:rotflmao So true!

That`s why I voted Joe. It would be good to get an insight into his world and see what makes him so condescending! :P

Now THAT is funny.

No use mentioning my name in this thread, though. I won't be doing this on Pattaya Talk for sure. I'm grateful as heck for this forum and I'm ever so admiring of your ability to do a "month in my life" thread, but I won't ever be doing one. For my own reasons. I think everyone is interesting in his own way, though, and almost everyone who is in Thailand's a nominee in my books. Most (but not all) of the folks outside Thailand probably wouldn't interest all of us, but that would be my only line on who I'd like to see do it..

Brilliant.... therein lies another interesting idea!

How about a thread 'A Day in The Life of a Poster, by another'........

I'll do Villayouth.

Got drunk, back in purgatory again.
