Extra Baggage on Thai Airways

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have flights booked for me and my girlfriend for next week, flying with Thai Airways.

I tried calling them to order extra baggage as i know when returning from there we will have more than the allowance but they failed to understand what i was asking. Rather than pay the excessive fee's at the airport is it possible to book this in advance as most other airlines allow?

Cheers

Depends on how much extra you have, there are plenty of sites that move extra baggage from what google shows me

I have flown with Thai Air many times from Australia and quite a few of those times, my wife's and my suitcases were close to the 30kg weight, no extra charge.

They say 20kg limit but I have never been charged excess baggage with Thai and my wife and others are adamant that the unoffical limit is 30kg.

A lot of people have different stories on this, like being charged for half a kilo by THAI. You never know. But I got the impression from the OP that this isn't a matter of a few kilos, but a few suitcases.
