Alf keep away from the places which have beautiful eye candy working there.

See if you can find a small shop ,mainly family business who are chinees ,will get a good job and good price.

My glasses were.....ah Accidentally sat on one trip during a FLB party a few years ago. I had them repaired at the shop in the Big C. In that case, they just needed bending to get back in shape. I did not mention that I was wearing them at the time and judging a FLB dance contest.

I had glasses fixed in shop in Lotus on two different trips

Tops on Central road has a guy that does watches and glasses. He did a special lense cut/grind for me for 1500 bhat that would have cost 6000 in the states.

Have you considered ordering new from the UK? Plenty of brand new frames fitted with prescription lenses from under £20.00

 

I have bought from both of these companies and can recommend, but a google search will probably find more.
