HEY EVERYONE,COMING TO LOS IN APRIL TYRING TO FINALIZE EVERYTHING,BUT WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO I.E., ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL IF ANY, FOR THE LITTLE DUCK HOTEL NEAR TOPPS. HAVE NOT STAYED THER BUT SOUNDS OK. ANY HELP IN ANY FORM WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I have stayed at the little duck about 5-6 times now! and also will be staying there in April! around 7th-22nd!

I have had no problem with the hotel what so ever! good size clean rooms! quiet air con! good tv with not too bad channels! stock up mini bar! loundry service! maid service every day! stayed in one room once! with the carpet being a little worn! but nothing to complain about! I manage to get a price of 600 baht! I try and ask to have a room over looking the pool! their pool is shit hot! they have a disco join on to it! they have a nice place to go and eat! called cafe resort! its also a good place to take you TG back for a drink after hours!before hitting the stair way to heaven! most nights they have a singer on!

All in all it gets my approval! every time! here are some numbers to call: +66(038)428104 drop the 0 from (038) it works from the uk! not sure if there a different code from the states?

I will be coming in with Rocko76 on the 16th of April for a week.  We both are having problems with getting in contact with the Sun Shine Hotel on Soi 8.  He has stayed  there over the last few years.  They are just not being helpful at this point.  We are working with the Sun Beam Hotel as of now with gettting some general information.    With no site  for this  hotel you are both talking about, is there a site we can go to to check out this hotel.  The bottom line is, I beleieve that during this period of time we are there, it is the low season and it seems that hotels are hard to communicate with.  Where ever we get to stay in the Soi8 area where the fun is, once we get there, maybe we can hook up for a drink or two.  Thanks for the help. ive stayed there....one night...600baht.....it smells .......old.....musty....its more like a short time room..................i wasnt impressed...but hey .....like all things...YMMV.

I believe that the Sunbeam charges a joiner fee, if you want to stay in that area check out  the Flippers or Eastinys.  If you don't need a pool try the Bella Vista.

No pool, but a nice place...750 Baht gets the big room and 550 gets the small one..

I hated the Little Duck but YMMV.  For me the rooms were way over priced and the service was just plain lazy.  I only stayed for 1 day.

 

The Sunbeam Hotel is a pretty nice place in my opinion if you are on one of the top floors.  Too many Indian tour groups are on the middle floors and the noise level was too much for me.  I'm really surprised that you are having problem contacting them.  Try emailing their boss and you should get a reply.

Tony is a stand up guy and has always worked hard to make my stays good.  They even gave me a surprise birthday party in my room the last time I was there and we all had our pictures in the Pattaya Mail.

 

During the off season you can negotiate the joiners fees but during peak time they are pretty inflexable.
