He put out some great jazz albums. Take Five, Jazz Impressions of New York, Concord on a Summer Night, etc.

Some while ago I was doing time as a DJ compiling a weekly classical slot and was asked to do something more middle of the road as well. Giving the matter some thought I did a series called 'Take Five' and started and finished with some classic Brubeck. His off the wall sounds were endlessly fascinating and a short while ago I found that the programmes has been resurected so I still get to listen to Brubeck on radio on a regular basis.

This was sad news for me because two of the best shows/concerts that I've seen were Dave Brubeck. The last time was in 1983 in Rhode Island. My brother in law's brother worked with Dave on music for the Catholic Church. RIP Dave Brubeck, you will be missed but you're music will live for ever!
