I think it's fair to consider a normal scenario unless someone states otherwise. No? Just as many aren't turned off of guesthouses without lifts but others might.

Other than that, sometimes soi 13 is where I jump off the songtaew due to traffic congestion on beach road.

You think what you like, I like to consider possibilities or give people the benefit of the doubt before I call them names, unless you know LeoTex. Edited by jacko

Soi 13 to walking street will be the easiest of any journey a special needs individual will ever take on their holiday to to the LoS.

Stop looking for an argument.

I don't particularly want an argument..... but Insist someone with a walking problem might prefer to take a baht bus. It is about 700m.

My friend with MS struggled to get as far as the beach rd, and from there we helped him onto a baht bus.

Grew up with some folks who had MS as well as some that had CP. What's yer point? That every conversation should revolve around their special needs? Even they don't feel that way. Nothing like talking about the minority when it's not necessary.

My point was better not to go around calling people lazy, simply because they get on a baht bus at the top of soi 13 and get off at WS.

They could have their reasons............other than being lazy :D.

If they aren't 1 in a thousand then they are lazy. Weighing 20 stone doesn't cut it either.

ANY place between Beach Road and Soi Buakhou (perhaps a little further east) and south of Pattaya Klang.

This means easy access with Baht Bus to the vast majority of places you want to go (or return from)

I used to like staying on Soi 2 (Sabai Lodge), it was right on the baht bus line, had bars starting right across the street, and was a short walk to Big C. Many Songkran memories taking place on Soi 2, now the bars there have all been bulldozed so probably is not the same anymore.

So much site seeing on the long ride from Soi 2 to Walking Street, and all for 10 baht!

This area is on the upgrade and IMHO needs consideration. The Sabai pools are excellent and there is always a seat and cover. The walk to Beach Road is simple and the fact that Big C is also 5 minutes away is great as well. Early last month they started to reopen the bars opposite the Big C that had been gutted and there are some good new ones heading back into town on Second Road. To the left of Big C are a row of shops where there are a lot of services available such as haircut, photography, sauna/massage, and so forth. Its handy for Drinking Street and the night market up towards the roundabout.

I often walk into the PBG from Soi 2 via Beach Road and its a great walk with lots to see and some good stop offs if you are so inclined.

Its a while since I have been there but some people swear by the bars in Soi 3 and they seem to do OK business.

All in all the North side of town need to nbe considered.
