Hey,

I'll be staying a few weeks in December at a hotel with no pool (Tim's).  I generally like the scene at hotel pools.  Does anybody know of a hotel that allows non guests to use their facilities?

Cheers,

Archie

The Marriott will be OK. Just act like you belong and grab a couple of towels from the towel bin.

By the way, the beer there is expensive (Bt150 plus 17.7% tax) but in the height of the summer sun, getting an almost frozen heineken in a frosted glass straight from the freezer is one of nature's delights.

Its damn quiet too so a great place to chill out away from the shit. Just walk straight through the entrance, through the hotel and out the other side to the pool.

The Residence Garden has two nice pools, just act like you belong and you should not have a problem. Only problem its a bit out of the way and can be a bit quite for some tastes.

Archie,i have read  somewhere that there is a pool on the 10th floor of the Roal Garden Plaza they charge a small fee but i seem to remember it getting a favourable report.I will be  staying at the Apex who`s pool is not up to much and i will also be looking for an alternative.

Can anybody give  me information on the RGP pool ?

Ranger I think the pool you mean is on the roof of Mikes Shopping mall opposite the Diana Inn not far from the Apex

It's quite nice and has a nominal fee I seem to remember 100 or 200 baht

Just a word of caution regarding pools.  I'm currently staying in Pattaya at a hotel that I've stayed twice before this year.  On the prior occasions I enjoyed the pool but when I used it this time it was too cold and I had to get out after swimming only 2 laps.  It's on the north side of the hotel and this time of the year it is fully shaded.
