Thanks for the pics.I'm glad not everybody on this forum is depressed/saddened/inconvenienced/put off by a 3 day festival on Beach Road.I would much rather enjoy this than Soak-kran.

It is probably people who live in the area, Expats, like myself, who will gripe about this event.

We don't have much need of the markets and it snarls up traffic for a large area and inconveniences our lives. We often forget Pattaya is not about us in the slightest, and needs to keep making money. Songkran is complained of more so, but as sure as hell, it is going to happen, this year and next.

Nice photos, Plahgat. Sam Bar looks interesting. I remember the first music festival in 2005, headlined by Tata Young.

I think it became the "International" Music Festival in 2005, but it had been taking place for a few years before that.

I wandered from Soi 13 to Walking Street earlier tonight too and rattled off a few photos, will resize them and add to the thread later in the week.

So many really young kids out there, unsupervised. Can't see the schools being well attended tomorrow.

And it sounded like punk rock coming from the reggae stage about 10 pm. Not sure what that was about.

Many have to go to school today to collect their exam results

Parents can go. The kid at my house was getting yak-yak from his mother as she was showing him the report card over Skype. :D
