EPL football

Ive just had some info back from the owner of where i rent a condo.I usually have satelite tv during my stay,but seeing as True have lost the rights to show English football and CTH have taken over.I had asked him to do a little research.He informs me that CTH is not available in Pattaya but they have told him the football will be available on Sophon cable.

 

Does anyone have any more details on this subject.

The British guys in my complex are pissed as they all have packages with True Visions.

It will not worry me as all the bars will all have new set top boxes by the start of the new season...and that's where i watch all the games.

Yes im sure the bars will have it all sorted,but which tv company is going to be supplying them?

CTH will be providing content by both cable (to its cable operators) and satellite. Allegedly.

Allegedly,yes thats the word haha,they are leaving things late.Only about 2 mnths to kick off.

 

Maybe ill leave my options open until i arrive early Sept.and ask a few bar owners what the best option is.

If Sophon are going to show it then perhaps they are acquiring a feed from some adjacent country. I don't see how they can afford it on their rates, which are quite cheap. Their standard seems to be deteriorating from my perception, the picture quality is often poor, particularly on the 'English' movie channels, which sometimes have audio in Thai or other languages. If they get EPL, perhaps it will come with their current sports channels, Astro Supersport, EuroSport, or Astro Supersport 2. I saw some EPL games last season on them, but they were recorded.

I can't believe the bar owners don't know true visions have lost the EPL.

 

CTH are the co that have the rights and I have placed an order with them,but who knows when it will be installed as they are waiting for boxes.

 

I can't see them being as good with the sport as true but they are a lot cheaper.

 

As for sophon they only steal the football from true.
