Super High Season Hotel Question

Recommended Posts

Just got back to the states last week and absolutely need to go back again!  So I'll be returning right after Christmas.

Turns out my favorite room (there's only one like it) is already booked at my favorite hotel (where I've stayed on every trip) so I'm looking for a new hotel.

Also want to keep my options open, perhaps bring a Thai girl to Ko Samet or Ko Chang or travel alone to Phuket.

I don't want to go around searching for a room the day I arrive.  I also want to lock in a room in case this is avery busy Xmas-New Year's peal season.  At the same time if I don't like the hotel I want to be able to pick up and leave and not be responsible for future nights if I find something more to my liking.

With most hotels if I check in and say I'm staying for 10 days and then leave after two, am I responsible for paying for the whole stay?  Is there a general policy for all hotels or does it vary by hotel? Am considering staying at the Eastiny or Apex if available.

Thanks and can't wait to get back to LOS!!!

Nothing is written in stone but in Dec and jan, they want all their rooms full so flexibility may be harder to get.

The only answer you will get is to ask them directly, saying that you may have to move on. otherwise, pay more for a better place where you know you should be OK.

final choice is look at their cancellation policies. If 48/72 hours, then book the 2nd one for arival plus 2/3 days. then cancel or move.
