Eastiny place (soi 8 ) -never again

Recommended Posts

Just returned from my second stay at this hotel.  Let me say I shall never return.

Stayed there for two weeks.

At first there were no problems.  I even took the girls from reception out for ice cream. ;D ;D ;D

Problems arose three days from my departure.

I decided to bring two girls back too my room only to be told there was a 300 baht charge. :-[ dure in my negotiations to avoid paying this rip off one of the girls on reception decided to get into a slanging match with my girls!!!.

The real problem occured whilst trying to check out.

I had booked my room for a late departure and I was also fully paid up for my stay except for the 400 baht late charge and the last few days Mini bar ect.

Upon trying to settle my bill I of 1400 baht I notice a "300 baht mini bar" which I decided to question.

Upon returning to settle my bill I was told that the "300 baht mini bar" had been removed and was presented with a bill of 2100 baht!!!!

I asked where my original bill had got too and no one seemed to know.

After many calculations on there part nothing was still adding up.

Now by this time my taxi was waiting to take me too the airport so I threw them 1000 baht and left.  I believe that 1000 was excessive for the service I recieved the last few days.

So if you are staying there guys please pay attention too your tabs.

Regards

I have never had a problem at the Eastiny Inn and stayed here several times. Never charged a joiner fee and I brought not two but three girls back to my room a couple of times. Never found the staff here to be anything but fair and very helpful.

But let me also say I've seen many guys come back to many hotels in Pattaya drunk and loud and make their own problems.  I'm not saying that was the case here just pointing out a fact of life in Pattaya.

Stayed at Eastiny place b4 for 1 night , didn't have any problems.  A good way to be proactive so stuff like this doesn't occur is to check and/or pay mini bar tab daily or if you won't be using it have maid remove all contents of bar.  Also I would strongly advise all not to "take out" the employees of a hotel you are staying at if you are involved in the P4P scene.

just my  cents.

mrt,

Why not?  I only ask because I make a point of taking 8-10 of the hotel staff out to dinner at some point during my stay - I hope I've not been commiting some awful faux pas. :-/

Interesting ! It is a well publicised fact that this chain charge 300 baht per guest over the "missionary" single. IMHO a good enough reason to boycott it alone, let alone other reasons.

You are a privileged man indeed !

Well I'll get a little more specific  I'm speaking in terms of taking out the staff in order to get closer to one so you can shag them.  It's hard enough trying to keep psycho BG's away from you the last  thing most people need is the person that works at the place they're staying to stalk them on there trip.  it's happened to me b4, I did it once and I'll never do it again.  Maybe this situation was/is different here but I'm just speaking on taking out staff the GFE way.

Stayed at Eastiny Place a few times and they did charge the 300 baht for a 2nd lady....  Suppose I should have tried to negotiate this before checking in.  Most of the front desk people treated me fine, but there was one lady that I just didn't hit it off with.  She always did the absolute minimum (if that) any time we interacted, but always with that fake kind of smile.  Pat, agree with you that corner rooms A701 or B701 are good choices, decent value for the money.

Having said that, I no longer use the Eastiny Place, unless I have to.  One of the reasons was that I noticed that someone at the hotel always tried to get into my suitcase that had a combination lock on it.  When I would check it (daily), the combination numbers were always changed from what I set it to and it wasn't the TG's that were doing it.  I spoke with the hotel staff about it and even had a TG put a note in thai on the lock that said not to fuck with it (wonder if that's what she wrote), but that didn't help (TIT).  Yes, I stored my valuable stuff in the lock boxes, but it's the thought that they are doing more then their jobs that concerned me.  This kind of thing hasn't happened to me at any other hotel in Pattaya.  Any one had any similar experiences there?

;D player i suggest you run do not walk away from hotel any hotel where your luggage is bothered. if they get lucky you could lose what is in them. if they want to get even  and put contrband in them and then calll police it could be much worse. this has happen in recent drug crack down so beware about it. i do same lock trick and so far have never had problem at any hotel i have stayed at in past 5 years there. ;D hope this help's just common sense to me. enjoy los 8) 158 days to touch down, but who is counting.

And another fact of life in Pattaya is that you can stay in a hotel and everything is fine every trip and then it suddenly falls apart without reason so I have some sympathy with the original poster.

Secondly I agree that some guys cause their own problems but there is no suggestion the original poster did so so why bother to post that?
