Don't worry about it. It's likely not true in this case, and it doesn't matter to you one way or another anyway. It's not as if it costs you more even if it were true.   You would do best to ignore

When someone sends you to a business in Asia it's expected they will receive a 10% commission when you buy. I'm not talking about a small purchase at a 7-11. This the way business works in Asia and in

Do not do that and do not take any advice from the local village idiot who knows nothing about Pattaya.

what??? How come?

BigDUSA says many things. While some are true, many of his remarks come from his imagination. The 10% commission is unlikely

You would do best to ignore any advice given by that poster. Trust me. He just makes stuff up.

Best of luck with your move!

I am also new to pattaya, arrived a few weeks ago and just move in to a condo in North Pattaya. I feel the city quite safe and like you, my company provides me a car but i am not keen at driving, therefore i am now relying on the company driver to drive me to work and use the baht bus during weekends.

I am thinking of attending a local driving school as it is rather not convenient if one is not driving.

If you are interested, drop me a line when you arrive, it would be nice to have a coffee or so.

hi, how much do you pay for condo? I never thought of living in north . How long does it take to your work? A friend told me that he stays in pluakdaeng area and hires room at city center at the weekends... its just 700 baht per night. Sounds economic.

I worked at laemchabang and it takes me 30mins to work. North pattaya is quite a nice place to live, away from the crowd in central pattaya and closer to my work place than jomtien or south pattaya.

I should have mentioned that i am also a single woman working here.

I did the same when I worked in Nonthaburi, NorthWest of BKK. I'd stay in a small condo during weekdays, and then go rent a room in BKK on the weekends.

Maybe 30+Km.

Down 331, cut the corner at 3240 and then Hwy36 and the Hwy 7 extension.

I think that is less attractive than where you originally planned to stay..... the Industrial City is rather crowded and dusty.

Bad time of year in that regard, the heat and limited rain make the drains and sewage vents extra pungent.

But regular tourist come to love it!

Many who settle here move out of town after a while.
