Hi all once again !! Well I have meet a thai girl on a web dating site called thaifreindly .. Well she is in London .she is a student doing microbiolidgy and has been in uk for 3 years.. Well I'm Australian and live in perth .. I would like to no if I pay for a return air ticket for her is it possible for her to get a visa ??? As she will be on school break soon for a month .. Hope some one can advise me :):):)

The key issue regarding a visa is convincing the Australian Authorities that she has a good reason to return. She has an education course and is enrolled in further study so that might be enough. If she has family and property in Thailand this adds weight to her claims.

 

The next criteria will be the ability to support herself while in Australia. If she has a bank account with at least $5000 then she will be OK but otherwise you will need to show means which include your assets , you income and your savings. Understandably you might be reluctant to pass on this information. You need to send her a letter of invitation and probably get a letter from the Thai consulate that you are inviting her. The whole process will take about 2 months so work out your timing.

 

You can go into the immigration office in Wellington street Perth and pay the $130 application fee, pick up a form 1208 (http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1208.pdf) and talk to the staff. If you complete he form and send the originals to London with the receipt and letters of invitation then it showsthat she has support in Australia.

 

There is more to this and it is frustrating but it can be done. I am not sure if the current coup will make a difference.

I know nothing about the technicalities of travel but if I read your OP correctly all you are suggesting is that she come out to Australia for a holiday. If this is the case I would have assumed that this was easy enough as long as you can vouch for he accommodation and living expenses. The key seems to be that as long as the immigration folks dont think that she is going to work there and that she abide by her holiday visa that it is all simple enough.

Kinda hard on the new poster all you so called Mr perfects those who have never fallen into the don'ts of affiliation of a Thai lady! Once again remember its nicer to advise someone without tearing into them as though they are stupid. Life leads us all down different paths and you know but by the grace of God and the help and advice of others who knows what way we end up!

Spice I hope you get sorted and sorry I cannot help other than agree with those who suggest you take a break and visit the uk if its convenient for you maybe easier to deal with.

OK, I’ve resisted replying for a good while, but let me just see if I’ve got this right…

 

You are in Australia and you have met a Thai lady on-line in London and you are considering buying her a return plane ticket to Perth…

 

Can I offer my services? I live near to London – well, considerably nearer to London that you. For a small fee I will happily meet the young lady and check if her intentions are honourable. Just send me your bank details, your date of birth and your mother’s maiden name – I’ll do the rest.

 

Seriously, there has to be some locations with Thai ladies closer to Perth than London. Have you considered Pattaya?
