I used BKK Air when I flew to Siem Reap years ago. Excellent service.

Small thing, but a few years ago I finished a Thailand visit with a side trip to Phnom Penh and flew Bangkok Air. My flight back to the U.S., on Eva (I think) was later in the day after my return flight from Phnom Penh. Having booked the flights separately, the information about the Eva flights was not in Bangkok Air's system, but I did have a print out of the Eva itinerary. I asked the Bangkok Air check in agent in Phnom Penh if she could check my luggage through on my Eva flights later in the day. To my pleasant surprise, not only did she understand my request, she was able to do it. This saved me an extra bag drag at Suvarnabhumi as well as going through Thai immigration.

Always used Air Asia and as the flight is so quick the food and drink isnt worth worrying about.

One other aspect is that I think the Air Asia is now out of Don Muang. This could make a difference depending on where you are coming from or going to.

No 'think' about it Teelack, Air Asia is out of DM now.

One obvious advantage Bangkok Airways has if one needs to make an International BKK connection.

I'm heading to Phnom Penh for 8 days in May on Air Asia. When you book your ticket, you can choose from 7 meals in the 120b range. I chose Pad Thai going and a chicken & rice (surprise) for the return. The flight isn't that long and even if no food is offered, I could make do with something I brought on board. Short flight-why hay a premium price? You can also choose any seat for a small premium.

As most know, there is an express bus between airports,so don't let that dissuade you.

If you are going to Pnomh Penh I think you will find that Air Asia is significantly cheaper than Bangkok Airways. It depends on what value you place on a few snacks.

I flew Angkor Air to Phnom Penh a while ago and take liked it. It was a jet, not propeller plane. It was considerably cheaper than the competitors. However when I went to book another flight there, they all seemed to go through Siem Reap.
