It may be different in the USA!

Friday Night is traditional 'ladz night out' in the UK and has never been a night for football.

I wonder if it is another nail in the coffin for the pubs if guys stay home to watch the match.

In the USA,if shown live West Coast, would it not be rather early for the pubs at 11.45am?

I do hear you. My ignorance of how things are in the UK.

In America it is much the same way for American football - Sunday day games, Sunday night game, Monday and Thursday night games.

Our Friday and Saturday nights are reserved for the ladies and family too.

Hi,   I think Stoke will be fine even though they were outclassed at Arsenal. Having a good goalkeeper should help them in tigher games. I'd like Bournemouth to stay up but I feel they are doomed.

I haven't been around for a while. I'd just like to say that since then my team have become a force again.   UNITED   TWENTY TIMES TWENTY TIMES MAN UNITED TWENTY TIMES TWENTY TIMES I SAY   TWEN

Lol. Does it take a Thai owner to win in English football?

United's defence looks pretty solid now (in comparison to last couple of years anyway); Shaw is coming good now and Darmian looks to be a good buy, but was lucky to stay on the pitch last night. The defence playing well is giving a somewhat "unremarkable" goalkeeper an easy passage so far. My earlier thoughts on De Gea look misplaced, and recent actions and revelations make departure inevitable. The big money buys ahead of them have yet to fire. I have a nasty suspicion that Schweinsteiger may be here purely for his "pension pot" !

Sneaky feeling that Moaninho will out-tactic Man.City on Sunday, and conjure up a dreadfully boring win! I reckon Arsenal will come good too.

Hard to say which market is being aimed at with the Friday night games. No use for the Asian market, and would really need to be Saturday for States. It's OK here in UAE (Friday is the "quiet day") tho', just a bit late !

Maybe that is the thinking behind the scheduling (Middle East); it is all about money with them anyway, and they have probably cornered as much as they can get in the UK.

Hi,

City put on a show and now must be considered a threat to Chelsea this year. Man City v Chelsea next Sunday is a big game even at this early stage of the season.

Hi,

Chelsea seem to be having internal issues at the moment and were well beaten. Arsenal bounced back well and had a good win at Palace. I bet few of the other top teams will take all 3 points at Palace this season.

Hi,

Is Alex Neil the new Fergie ? Many mediocre Scottish managers have made a good living on Fergies coat tails, but this guy has a great record already. Swansea seem to have another good young manager in Gary Monk. Stoke are my team of the weekend after coming from 2 nil down to draw at Spurs.

Is Mourinho wearing out his welcome again?

You have got to laugh at Mourinho's analyses of the match..." It was a fake result , we were the better team in the second half " better team my arse , chelski got their arse's kicked.... I think this guy lives in a bubble and he believes it can not be burst , but it's going to be burst many many time's this season......!

Hi,

My guess is he is trying to pressure the board to sign Stones from Everton. Abramovich may be under financial pressure because of sanctions against Russia and may be reluctant to spend money at this time. Mourinho needs loads of money to be successful.

Hi,

Bournemouth were robbed in Liverpool. Good goal disallowed and Liverpools was offside. They have performed well in their games so far so it's a bit early to write them off. However, as a small club the officials may not give them any breaks. That's the way it is I'm afraid.

Very early days but who's going down?

My crystal ball shows ...

Sunderland

Villa

Watford

(in no particular order)

Unspectacular prediction Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich; Sunderland to challenge them for the drop, but I still feel that Fat Sam will end up there, and heal the wounds!

Hi,

Bournemouth have an excellent first win ever in the main division. Newcastle show a fighting spirit to gain a point at OT. Man City face a tough test today away to Everton. London welcomes the scousers tomorrow night in the game of the round. Liverpool, like Man Utd, have been a bit lucky so far. I'm hoping Arsenal can beat them tomorrow night.

Hi Guys

Just a quick question.

Where have you found the best price (very recent purchases) on EPL shirts/shorts/socks and other supporter items ?

(if you can list what the items were, the cost and what you thought of the quality it would be greatly appreciated).

Does not have to be Pattaya, can also be Bangkok.

Cheers

If you go to Mikes shopping Mall ( Beach road end ) and go into the ground floor there are dozen's of shirt and clothes vendors there and if you tell them what your looking for they will get it for you next day , but be sure to agree the price with them first and check the shirts before you pay them because there is a lot of shit stuff out there ........ :thumbup

Hi,

Another solid display by City as they beat a good Everton side. Chelsea win but leave in another 2 goals. Not good. Pedro has a great start in blue and Man Utd fans must be upset that he is not playing in red. Arsenal host Liverpool in a critical game early in the season.

Man U could have had Pedro but Chelsea stole him from underneath them.

Pedro gets a goal and an assist in his first game.

Hi,

LVG insists he didn't want to sign him !

I am banking on the gunners tonight to get me my yankee bet up that i placed at the weekend , your right about LVG not wanting to sign Pedro , i can not understand why because united could do with players of his calibre....... :thumbup

Hi,

LVG insists he didn't want to sign him !

It does seem that there could be "bad blood" between the two. Reading between all the lines and soundbites, the truth is probably the same as in every contested signing, Chelsea offered the bigger wage packet. Mind, United are normally the silly ones in that respect, but have been trying to reduce the wage bill slightly of late. (We must be close to falling foul of Platini's fair-play abomination).

We'll see with Pedro; I didn't think he had a particularly good game; The goal was a rather nasty deflection, and the assist was actually a very wayward shot at goal. However, he had hardly trained let alone played with Chelski, so a bit of luck should not be denied him.

I'd like to think that we pulled out of the deal for him on the basis that Ronaldo is coming! :P

Hi,

Scousers rob Cockneys. Liverpool are the beneficaries of another dodgy decision by an official. I think Arsenal would have won by 2 or 3 goals if the goal had stood. Two good goals in two tight games disallowed. At this rate Liverpool will win the Premiership.

Hi,

Leicester and Swansea have been two of the stars of the opening few weeks of the Premier League. Swansea have a tough encounter with Man Utd this weekend and Leicester have a winnable away game at Bournemouth. My gooners head to the Toon who will be encouraged after a good point at OT. The other game that catches the eye is Spurs v Everton which is a battle between two teams who may make up the best of the rest.
