Chaeper Accommodation Pattaya

Tried to put this post in Acommodation but the area is suspended for some reason. Im in Pattaya for anothe 3 weeks and was wondering if anyone knows of some accommodation which is neat and clean and with wifi and air conditioning for around 500 baht either way. It does not need to be near Walking Street as I have a motor bike if I fel the need to go there.

Depends upon how near to WS you want mate. If you have a bike then most of the attractions in parts are within easy reach, including afternoon gentleman's clubs etc which are a bit out of the way near big buddah hill and Jomtien.

 

I think for that price you're looking at somewhere close to LK Metro or one of the Sois off of it, or maybe somewhere above a bar along Soi Yamato, Post office or even Soi Pattayaland 1 (which is now a gay area), but I haven't stayed in that area for the best part of 20 year so I'm just guessing really.

 

A good place to try in the LKM (LK Metro) area is the canterbury tales bar, i-rovers and Billabong bar for example (just google them). They're all fairly cheap and offer wi fi , and walking street is just a 50 baht motorcycle taxi ride away.

 

As you're getting there during the Songkran celebrations, accommodation might be harder to find.

 

I wouldn't recommend taking the bike out if you're intending to drink though, the Police are coming down pretty hard on drink driving and it really will ruin your holiday.

 

I'm sure some Expat BM's can help you a bit more, also, if you can sleep through the noise, PJ Bar on Soi 7 offers cheap rooms (it used to be the Anna Jet Bar).

Thanks heaps for your detailed response. I just found out about that whole area around the Cantebury Tales Cafe. It it really is a hive or activity and for me, better than the Walking Street area. The accommodation, food, drinks are so cheap in this area. I am too old and not interested in the "lady servics" but it is every where around this area. A young fella I met during lunch today said these services are less than half aound the price compared to the area of Walking Street. I think this area is a real gem and much bete for budget people than Walking Street.

You will find loads of places in Soi Lengkee where you can get a room for 500 per night during low season. Le Katai isnt bad and they do special officers during low season. Soi Lengkee, is near to LK Metro and Soi Buakao and no more than 10 minutes walk to the start of Walking Street.

Try this place in Soi Lengkee...Great accommodation, cleanrooms and lovely staff. If you want a pool they will let you use the Vogue Hotel pool for 50 baht a time. Its just across the car park.

Can you (or persuade them to) post some pics of the rooms and post the daily, weekly and monthly rates.

Good vfm places will fill quickly thst way.
