Jomtien Immigration

Recommended Posts

If we come on a 6 month multi enty visa can we do an extension at Jomtien Immigration. Many thanks

If you leave and return just before it expires, you will get another 60 days, which can then be extended for a further 30 days within the country.,

This can amount to near 9 months total, providing visa is obtained close to date of travel.

When we enter Thailand do we have to have an exit ticket after 2 months even though we are going to request a 30 day extension.

If you have a proper visa you do not need an exit ticket, that is for exemption on arrival. With a proper visa you can extend for mere money.

You will need exit ticket when you exit country. I just went thru they can be had at airport when you pass thru passport control.

Did not notice so stood in que and had to go back and fill one out. would suggest if you can to get one on plane tell them you made mistake and need another one or they may give you extra.

it would save time when you leave. i was lucky i had my own pen to fill it out. :hairout

Are you perhaps referring to the TM6 Departure Card the immigration officer handed back to you in your passport when you were admitted? Yes, that needs to be completed and presented to immigration when you depart. You should keep it as it is part of the proof that you are in Thailand legally.

Yes that is it. I have "o" visa and did not have return date. The immigration officer did not give one back and i did not check for it

I have since found out if there is no confirmed flight out then you have to get one and fill out on departure. It look to me the same as when i arrive so next time in will get two on plane to avoid some on departure.

I assumed it would be same on extended visa. :clueless This is a bit of topic but may help when you leave.

cheers enjoy.

With a retirement extension, I have gotten a TM6 back on the three occasions I have come back on a reentry permit. I fill in the departure card except for the departure flight and signature, the immigration officer stamps it with the entry date, returns it and I keep with my passport.

Same here. Multiple trips from and back to Thailand and I've never not received a stamped,TM6 departure card.
