China Southern business class offers from Heathrow

Recommended Posts

Courtesy of the Flyertalk premium fares forum. China Southern currently have business class fares of around £1100 return for LHR to BKK. Availability seems wide open and connection times good. The only negative i can see is that the 2-2-2 seating is more appealing to a couple or two friends travelling together than to solo travelers. Flights from London are on the 787 dreamliner which seems to get decent reviews in business ( although the reviews of economy are lousy )

I love Boeing's solution to their Dreamliner exploding Batteries problem.

Put it in a stronger box so when it explodes it doesnt set the plane alight.

Priceless !!

I have just posted a topic that suggests I am not so lucky.....

I nearly got struck by lightening.... hope that doesn't happen again, wisdom would say it never happens!

I flew China Southern from Schiphol to Bangkok a couple of Christmases ago for the ridiculous price of £900 for business class.

The staff were very good and the only negative I could think of on the way out was the size of the glass of wine I got served. Gave up and ordered whisky instead and it came as the same amount.

Transiting in CAN wasn't to bad with a dedicated business class desk but looked like a nightmare for cattle. The lounge was nothing to write home about but had a lovely smoking room.

When I read reviews I noticed that all complaints came from people ordering western type food and very few from people eating Chinese dishes. So I stuck to ordering the Chinese stuff and was very happy with it especially the dim sum I had on the CAN-BKK leg.

Can't remember but there may not have been IFE on the narrow bodied aeroplanes between CAN and BKK.

Oh and a word to the wise check that all legs are in business class. When I did it my BKK-CAN leg was in premium economy and I wasn't impressed with economy food at all.

I just did a random search and one leg came up in economy so be careful.

They have a reputation for running out of food choices so pick a seat as far forward as possible in the cabin.
