Shrimp Price's

WTF ? What is going on with the shrimp price's over the last 4 weeks in Pattaya ?? Normally a 20-25 count fresh shrimp is/was 350-400 kilo, now, nothing under 650-800 baht per kilo ! Tiger prawn were 800-900 kilo, now 1600-1800 kilo !! I have to send the wife up to Nakula to get shrimp these days. Is there a shortage I don't know about, or just more taxes, or is it just more supply n demand by the Thai's gouging system ?? At this rate, I MIGHT have to start my own shrimp farm. HA! HA! HA!

Could very well be they're getting ready to gouge the Chinese during the Chinese New Year next week. Remember this scene from two years ago?

My plate of fried scallops with black pepper for 250 baht recently was derisory!
