Blackwoods Hotel Pattaya, Soi 7

Stayed here towards the end of August.
Blackwoods hotel is located top end of Soi 7. 
Guest friendly, and a great little buffet breakfast included ( well included in my deal anyway). Paid £50 per night (through ebookers) but gave heard the rack rate is nearly £100 so pays to shop around. WiFi has a great speed and each room has their own WiFi router located behind the back of the tv. Localchannels on the tv as well as access to Netflix and Amazonprime too! 
Pool, gym and sauna on the top floor. Bar next to the pool openuntil 7pm ( I think). 
Would very happily stay here again.

I think that place looks good, but at £50 a night Its IMHO a fair bit overpriced and anyone paying £100 has far too much money. There are many really good AirBnB places just as nice for £10-15 a night if you are staying a month.

I really doubt they are just as nice but I am sure they are more than adequate for me too. But I don't have that long vacations so I want to enjoy my time when I AM here.
Compared to the spending on female services it is not so bad.
I understand that if someone is a pensioner mostly here to reduce pain from arthritis it might be different.

Going only on the pics you posted and seeing the pics of the AirBnB places they are just as nice. But if as you say you don't have a long vacation, then it's probably easier in a hotel, but I like my long, summer long, vacations and the AirBnB s are a very good option with most of the lower priced options being very good and some of the higher priced places being great.

Its D Day, I was watching Admiral Mc Ravens commencement speech, you guys from the UK and the Aussies have the same , I honor Anzac . Made the trip to Kanchanaburi several times reflecting on the sacrifice.  I came across the Army field bands " Battle Hymn of the Republic". on YouTube. I asked my Thai wife to look at the video, I fear America is failing but this is what made us great.  I pointed out the Filipinos, Korean, Black, White,Women and Men. I said you only care about Thai.  Perhaps a mistake as she would not finish watching the concert, the Hymn.
